- Hyatt is Testing Elimination of Free Breakfast at Hyatt Place Properties by View From The Wing. Would be interesting to see average room night prices before and after this testing. Personally I don’t have an issue with it if they are making the rooms cheaper by an equal amount, but I highly doubt they are and even if they are will this continue into the future?

As for Hyatt Place- surprised but not once I thought about it. Breakfast was a staple of their brand but I don’t stay there for the free breakfast on solo travels. (Family is different, they like hot hotel breakfasts & I’ll book a residence inn or something instead for those trips.) Not surprised after thinking because I stayed Hyatt House last year when they stopped the evening reception in Hartford but didn’t tell anyone & didn’t change the website. (And there was nothing walkable from that hotel.) When I complained to the manager on duty he proceeded to explain how everyone likes pay as you go better so all Hyatt Houses would be stopping free evening food. At least people are getting warned with the Hyatt Place test!
