Never tried skipplagged. Are your bags held by airline even on overnight layover?
You’re not supposed to check luggage on hidden city flights
Has anyone been able to circumvent travel restrictions by transiting through a third country? Seems like there would be more robust requirements in place. I love how mainstream media headlines in America can only fixate on one variant at a time, as if there are no other Greek letters.
They save it for later.
Gotta say, looking at the comment section from that Southwest article and I know why I’m happy we have DoC… 🙂
Took a quick gander…yikes.
Yes!
I just don’t understand why the airlines go after skiplagged…If they just immediately banned people who don’t go on the 2nd part of their trip , I can guarantee you people would stop doing it very quickly. And by immediately, I mean if you do it once…it would solve the problem instantly and be a lot cheaper than suing skiplagged.
I’d argue another successful fix would be to fix their pricing systems so that it never comes up in the first place. Honestly since skiplagged hit the mainstream, the number of hidden city flights that are actually cheaper have plummeted. Also weird to me that SW is having issues with the hidden city tickets since their flights almost always seem to just add for indirect routes
Because airlines don’t make much money from banning their own customers. That’s why they sue deep pockets for “damages” .
There is probably a very good reason why airlines haven’t done exactly what you are suggesting. There are probably many good reasons. I can imagine a few of those reasons.
People will probably stop if airlines ban them from earning miles or bringing any carry on bags for free
Southwest is creating bad will with that lawsuit….
They’ve always gone after anyone who attempts automation of their website.
