Recap: Uber Settlement, Weekend Entrepreneur & Private Labeling 101

  • Uber Agrees to $20 Million Settlement For Deceiving Drivers by The Winglet. This new is a little old, but worth posting about. Personally I’d be happier to pay higher Uber prices if I knew drivers were getting higher wages. Uber is engaged in a race to the bottom at the moment, but personally I’d be happy if they put a little more focus on the experience and corporate culture.
  • The Weekend Entrepreneur by Tagging Miles. Another older post. I think this is also something nice to do with your kids, then you can help give them a better fundamental understanding of how businesses work as well. I don’t have kids, but I do have parents and they always encouraged my side businesses and helped me learn along the way.

The Republican party hasn’t been conservative or budget hawks for quite a while now. I think you didn’t really understand my comment.

I think all politicians waste our money and I hate pretty much all of them. You seem to give Democrats a pass for wasteful spending since, in your mind, that’s what they do naturally but call out Republicans for wasteful spending because in addition to wasting money, they’re hypocrites about it. I think we should call them all out on it.

I reiterate my idea that politicians should fly in kennels in the cargo section along with Fido, Rover and my luggage.

Curmudgeon,

The budget hawks are on the conservative side. They are supposed cut waste no matter what.

I always find this argument “yeah they are wasting but Obama wasted more argument so hilarious.”

Or I am usually not a racist but I am going to say racist things now…

Or I am against death penalty but this one time I will make an exception.

All hilarious arguments made by weak minded people.

Why bring politics into this? Both Democrats and Republicans waste money but you make yourself look like a partisan hack by calling out just one side.

I think all Congress Critters and their staff should fly coach if they want to travel on the taxpayer’s dime. If they want better accommodations, they should have to pay for it out of pocket (and not campaign funds either).

Actually, I think I’d be ok with putting bureaucrats in kennels and letting them fly as cargo along with the other pets and luggage. 🙂

@credit,

So according to your source article, “The pricey flights were part of a surge in foreign travel. Congress spent at least $14.7 million on taxpayer-funded trips in fiscal year 2016, a 27% increase over the year before, according to Congress’ own accounting.”

If I’m not mistaken, your hero Mr. Obama was in charge until January 2017, there is no list of WHO or what party that belonged to, actually spent this “wastage”. So where exactly do you get the idea that Conservatives don’t have a problem here? I certainly do… Just more fake news.

Conservative scumbags don’t have any problems with this wastage.

Pretty hard to say that’s only “conservative” scumbags. President Obama spent around $90 million of taxpayer funded dollars on vacation. Includes 28 vacations, spanning 217 days.
