The Offer

  • Top cash back is offering $34 cash back when you make any hotel booking through British Airways

They are also offering $34 cash back on car rentals, but their prices aren’t competitive so we won’t focus on that.

The Fine Print

  • Use of coupon code not posted by top cash back will invalidate the order and you will not earn cash back
  • Only purchases made on British Airways’s US site are eligible for cashback

Search tips

You can search their site a number of ways: input airport code (e.g LAX), input city name (e.g Los Angeles) or country (e.g United States, if you use this option it’ll just show you a list of available cities in that country) and it’ll show you all of the available properties and their prices.

Typically you’ll find the best rates in developing countries for example, here are the results for a search for Jakarta:

You’d be paying $20 a night for the cheapest property after the $34 cash back, discount well over 50%.

There are also deals to be had in the United States. For example, here is the search for hotels in Orlando, Florida. After discount you’d be paying $5 a night.

Price Comparison

Prices seem comparable to other online hotel booking websites, I checked several different hotels I was thinking about booking and British Airways was usually more expensive but not by much (typically less than $5, but make sure you double check as I only checked cheaper properties).

Our Verdict

This deal is fantastic because there are no minimum spend or stay requirements, meaning you can book a cheap one night stay and still receive $34 in cash back. The less expensive your stay, the better this deal is.

This is one of those offers that seems to good to be true, I did a similar offer last year with booking.com which gave $14 back per booking but they had a lot of much cheaper rooms in stock. I had to file disputes with Topcashback but it looks like that money will finally come through. This is obviously a bigger risk as more money is at stake per booking.

I’ve booked one night for now for a hotel that I was planning on staying at anyway. I’d love to book more but nothing really seems to work with the dates and price range I’m looking for.

If you’re going to do this deal to book multiple one night consecutive stays at the same hotel, be careful. While this isn’t against the fine print/terms of conditions they could still make your life difficult. In the past instead I’ve simply used two separate top cash back accounts (mine and my partner) and booked it under two separate names and then called to have the reservations merged.

If you decide to use this deal, please let me know in the comments your experiences.
