Let’s finish off sourcing with a bunch of retailers at once. Many have a lot of similarities or aren’t that complicated and don’t deserve their own posts. I also don’t source from these stores as often as other stores.
Best Buy
Best Buy is a great place to source from since they have frequent sales and other ways to save. Their daily deals are always worth a check, but they are very hit or miss. They often have 4 hour flash sales that include iPads and have very competitive prices during those flash sales.
Best Buy Rewards
You earn 1 point per dollar spent, and point are worth at least $0.02 . Here is a chart breaking it down. You can see that when you get to Elite Plus, each point is worth $0.025 cents when redeemed. Elite Plus comes with other perks like points banking (instead of auto issued certificates with an expiration date), expedited shipping and extended return windows.
If you have
the Best Buy credit card, you will earn 5% in Best Buy Rewards (6% for Elite Plus members) and there is usually one month a year that you can earn 10% in Best Buy rewards.
Shopping Portal
Lately, Discover has had 5% cashback at Best Buy which is a really nice payout, otherwise the portals for Best Buy are usually pretty weak.
Gamer’s Club
Important Information about Best Buy Gift Cards
If you use a Best Buy Gift Card (or Best Buy Rewards), you won’t earn Best Buy Rewards or Portal Points on that portion of the purchase. It might still be worth it but it is important to know.
Sears
Sears has loyalty points called
Shop You Way points which are earned on all purchases but can only be redeemed on items sold by Sears (not 3rd parties). It is possible to earn $0.01 per point (and sometimes more) through reselling or just using the points on everyday items but it can be difficult.
In addition, they are often part of one or two of the Discover 5% quarterly categories (Department Stores) for the year.
Bed, Bath and Beyond
Pretty simple here. Ubiquitous 20% off coupons, discounted gift cards (don’t buy for less than 10% off) and shopping portals. Amazing return policy if you ever get a return back to you. No questions asked for the most part.
No loyalty points available.
Biggest problem is that their prices aren’t usually very good. Think expensive items. 20% can be a lot of money off when you have something $750+.
Target
Pretty simple as well. Target RedCard (or debit card) saves 5%. There are sometimes fantastic sales like 20% off or buy 2 get 1 free, this is especially true around the holidays.
Alternatively, you can usually find good discounts on Target gift cards on the various exchanges.
Use a shopping portal but they usually aren’t terribly lucrative. No loyalty points available.
Walmart
Same deal. Use discounted gift cards and a shopping portal. No loyalty points available. Walmart just has great prices.
Gyft
One thing that many of these merchants have in common is the ability to buy eGift Cards from
Gyft. We already mentioned last week that purchases from Gyft made with your Ink card on PayPal code as 5x for Ultimate Rewards. You can also earn portal points or Gyft loyalty points (2%) but not both.
Conclusion
There are a lot of stores you can source from and each one has their unique features. It’s important to know how to maximize your sale. If you consistently add on 5%+ of extras besides the profit of the sale, it will go a long way!

I am boycotting these “retailers” for a breach of anti trust price gouging laws. These companies are doing nothing to stop bots from buying up all the in demand items that they are supposed to be selling to consumers. Then, to really make this a crime, they advertise for the resellers on the same out of stock webpage in the “marketplace or third party seller” section. So the retailer who cannot keep inventory from bots makes a second profit helping the scalper bots resell the stock at 2 to 3 times msrp on the same site which remains out of stock for over a year for new in demand items. Good luck finding a graphics card or gaming console without the retailer stealing millions from us Americans through the use of resellers. I can avoid scalpers by not shopping for new in demand items on stockx or ebay. You would expect that the officially licensed retailer would not be involved in scalping, but they clearly are. Also notice that there are no ways put in place to order or to limit quantities of these in demand items. The retailers are making a market designed to make scalpers millions of dollars. This is a major crime that has seen 10s of millions if not 100s of millions tollen from hard working American families. Please report this breach of Trust to the FTC. I have witnessed this behavior on the Amazon, Walmart, Target, Sears, and Best Buy websites. The are all robbing us blind and destroying the brand names they are supposed to sell. After I reported them to the FTC walmart added a single use sale item. too little too late imo. Anyone know a good online retailer that you can actually trust? Its time for some new names in the business.
Bought a gamers club membership based on your last post on it. Any tips on how to figure out which games to buy for resale? I have an alert set on slickdeals, but maybe I didn’t use the right key words for the search?
I check whatever game’s are on sale. Slickdeals is great for that as well
