It’s Official: JetBlue Announce Intentions To Fly To London

Update 4/10/19: As predicted JetBlue has announced it’s intentions to fly to London. Official announcement can be viewed here.

The AS321LR could also fly to DUB, AMS, PAR & LIS. Aim is for daily flights starting in 2021.

Original post: It’s expected that JetBlue will announce London service on April 10th. JetBlue sent out an e-mail to crewmembers informing them of a chat about vision and strategy followed by a crewmember after-party. They have also been teasing a Europe announcement for some time. The reason that it’s expected London service will be announced is that the back of the image used is the same as the pattern on the London underground seats. I suspect the service will be Boston to London (Heathrow).

“Intentions?” Or, have they actually secured the route, as yet?

I think flying to STN would be the better choice if LHR is not possible

Don’t like JetBlue’s fixed value miles. What airlines miles allow redemptions on B6?

Wouldn’t they already have had to exercise their right to swap A321neo slots for A321LRs in order for this to happen? Unless they’re pre-announcing it by half a year or more?

Where will they get their LHR slots from? Maybe LH is giving up some?

My thoughts as well, I was expecting Gatwick. I’m West coast so it’s for all practical purposes irrelevant. LHR from SEA flight is only about 3 hours longer than SEA/PDX to HON.

Then again maybe LHR demand is changing with BREXIT – seems like a lot of corps are looking for new HQ in the EU. So perhaps JetBlue is subbing a route?

I’m West coast as well. I wouldn’t mind flying to London via Boston on Mint
