The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Sam’s Club is having a sale on 11/11  and they are offering Extreme Value Gift Cards at a discount:
    • $50 gift cards for $35
    • $100 gift cards for $70

Our Verdict

I’m not sure if it’s just the gift cards listed, or all gift cards. They do have a section on their website for ‘extreme value gift cards‘ with a much bigger selection. Looks like they will be available online starting at 12:01 Am EST and then stores will open at 7am locally.

Stack this w fourth quarter chase freedom walmart 5% cash back. Just buy WM gift card and pay for sams gift cards with the WM card.

Intersting idea if it can be scaled. The chase 5% is per acct right not per card? I have quite a few a users.

The $1500 spent limit per quarter is PER account. But Authorized User cards aren’t a separate account.

Can you actually do this? I was thinking of getting the iPhone X deal and using that Sam’s gift card to buy gift cards.

Any idea if I can purchase gift cards online or in person using Walmart gift cards?

Yes. You can buy 3 pGCs with WM GCs. Limit is 4 per order.

They also have iTunes $100 ($25×4) pack for $84.85 and $40 ($10×4) pack for $34.88. It’s on top of page 18 in the one day sale ad.

Agree with Brad’s post. Went to the local store sale last November and found that the gift cards included in this sale were restricted to a small percentage of their cards (which they place on a small display in the center of the store) and couldn’t find any which interested me. Many customers thought the sale applied to any of the gift cards in stock, and the staff at the registers and in customer service area were continually having to explain the limitations. You may find some that work for you, but definitely a limited selection.

The factually accurate title should be “Gift Card Sale at Sam’s Club”.

It’s fine as it stands, jeez. Everybody knows what the title means.

No, it’s not. I thought from the headline that it meant you could buy $100 Sam’s Club gift cards for $70 (which would be a 30% discount on everything sold at Sam’s Club or Walmart). That isn’t the case.

Use a little common sense. When has a WM or Sam’s GC EVER been 30% off? I knew exactly what he meant.

Do you have to have a membership to order online?

I’ve purchased checks from sams club before online and I never had to register for a membership. Not sure if that will work for the GC sale but it’s still something to think about.

They’ve had these 1-day sales before with the “extreme” gift cards. It’s a larger selection than is shown in the ad, but it’s nowhere near the entire 200+ cards shown in that category online. Usually nothing too exciting unless they have a local place for you that you can’t otherwise get discounts on.
