Sam’s Club & Synchrony Extend Partnership Despite Walmart Split

Sam’s Club & Synchrony have announced an extension of the strategic partnership between the two companies. This means that Synchrony will continue to issue the Sam’s Club credit and store cards going forward. This is despite the fact that Walmart ended its relationship with Synchrony and begun legal proceedings against Synchrony due to how the card portfolio was handled.

As part of the Sam’s Club & Synchrony announcement Walmart agreement to dismiss that lawsuit against Synchrony.

hilarious. i bet synch bent over and pulled its pants down for Sams after the massive WM loss. and how awkward to have a pending WM lawsuit and Sync extending business with Sams.

I had bought a few Sam’s club/WM GC’s during Amex Sam’s club promotion of getting $250 off 2 yrs ago……i have 2 to 3 of those still left. Will they still work both at WM/Sams?

Sucks for us sams club credit holders. Synchrony’s website is the worst. Customer service is non-existent. God help us if you need to dispute something.

Website is indeed terrible but I disputed a few out-of-state gas charges last year on a Sam’s MC over the phone and it was quick and easy.

WM throwing SYF a bone, maybe to settle lawsuit (SYF was countersuing WM, if I recall correctly).
