The Offer
Check the ‘nearby deals’ in your Samsung Pay for the following offer in honor of Galaxy’s 10th birthday:
- Get a free $10 gift card for Lyft, FandagoNOW, or Shutterfly when you visit select local stores.
The app will tell you which stores you can visit to get the gift card. The phone will sense you are near the store and will then grant you the gift card (I assume there’s somewhere to click to accept the gift card when you are near the store.) People are seeing places like Walmart, Target, Costco, Best Buy and Sprint as eligible stores to become eligible for the gift card.
Our Verdict
Not sure if it’s showing for everyone. Seems like an easy win if you’re nearby these stores.

Am I doing something wrong? Tried 3 times now at Walmart both inside store and outside. Samsung Pay has the correct GPS because I get the notification that there are deals at Walmart. Yet when I click Continue on the deal to claim it I just get a spinning dotted circle. Waited several minutes and nothing happens. Any ideas?
Do I have to use the points after I get them? Can I just hold on to them and bank them for other purchases and redemptions in the future or do I have to use them by a certain date and for the specific things? I couldn’t find anything in the terms and conditions that says I have to use them for the specific things or if I can bank them for later usage. The only thing I could find is that the codes expire after redemption but nothing about the points.
I think you get only 2000 points and a coupon to buy the $10 gift card for those 2000 points.
I tried two different stores and still got only 2000 points and not 4000 points.
It is not a gift card, but only a coupon code that will expire.
See it at walmart, target, sprint and Xfinity stores. And If your in the market for a new galaxy 10 phone like I am, I see you can use samsung rewards points at samsung for 4x the value this month, so it looks like this would be worth 40 bucks in this limited case.
How do you use Samsung rewards points for 4x? I have 10,000 points and it’s saying they are worth $50.
Mine showing close by as Costco, Sprint, BB. Will go to Costco and claim it.

Is there a recommended mock gps app for Samsung Pay? When using Fake GPS, then SPay says it can’t determine my location.
I had the same problem last night; figured it was Fake GPS causing it. May actually have to stop by a store parking lot today and give it another go.
A bunch of random store nearby for me. Says it lasts all month long
