American Express and Bread Financial have announced a new NFL card called ‘NFL Extra Points American Express® Credit Card’. Card offers the following:
- $100 sign up bonus after $500 outside of NFL purchases within 90 days of account opening
- No annual fee
- Card earns at the following rates:
- 3% in rewards on NFL and NFL team purchases
- 2% on grocery store, food delivery, restaurant, gyms and sporting good store purchases
- 1% on all other purchases
- 25% off NFLshop.com
The NFL Extra Points used to be issued by Barclays. I can’t see any compelling reason to sign up for this card so unless the sign up bonus dramatically improves this is dead on arrival. We will add this to the list of new credit cards for 2026.
