I’m not able to save this to my account. There’s no “+” sign to click and add. (12/23 7:15 pm PT)

Never mind. There was a Paypal email with the offer from clicking your link. Thank you!

I just received $5 off with no problems.

Dead, but in an ugly way. They let me enroll and buy the card one minute later but did not provide the discount. Customer service then said that too many people have used the discount, even though you can still enroll in the discount right now.

Here were their exact words:

“Hello this is Deborah and I will be happy to assist you. I am sorry you did not receive the reward. If you did not receive the reward it is because the limit of fifty thousand customers has been reach. Please look forward to our other promotions coming soon.”

Amending my comment above: the deal is NOT dead. It turns out they now credit you with 500 PayPal points, rather than just reducing your charge, which is how they did it the last several times I was offered a PayPal Starbucks discount.

You can redeem the 500 PayPal points for a $5 credit to your PayPal account, which you can then move to your bank or use on a future purchase.

The points are hard to find. You can locate them by clicking on “Deals” at the top of the home page. Towards the upper right of the “Deals” page there is a little trophy cup symbol that has the number of “pts” next to it. You click on that to redeem the points.

Apparently Deborah, the PayPal agent I quoted above, did not know how it worked either and just assumed that the offer was no longer valid.

Does this show up as a discount on the price when you make a purchase (i.e. you get charged $5 for a $10 gift card), or do you have to look for points somewhere?

I see it, but there’s no way to add it in my account. I thought it’s added already but it’s not in my saved deals either.

I did this offer, and got charged twice. Once for $10, once for $5. I only logged into Starbucks account once, and made one $10 reload with PayPal.

Buyer beware.

”Looks like you already saved this offer. But we’ve got more from different stores to choose from!“ There’s nothing under the “saved” tab. So I am not eligible? :/

The offer should show in your wallet after saving it, not in saved offers.

Did you check on the web site or in the app? It shows on both of my accounts in the wallet on the web site, but I don’t see it anywhere in the app.

Hi, are you eligible for this offer if you pay with paypal app in store instead of purchasing the gift card online? Thanks.

Yes; the terms state that the offer can be used in-store when paying via PayPal QR code.
