Our Verdict
These deals were going around private groups for a few days. It included $60 for $50 Best Buy, but that went out of stock within hours of the deal becoming widely known. It’s interesting that hours of the SD effect has more power than days of private groups hitting it.
The other deals are still very nice deals, and might not last long.
Can you take advantage of these offers multiple times after you complete each transaction?
According to comments on SD, people have been able to buy each gift card multiple times by checking out as a guest and using a different credit card and e-mail address for each transaction. YMMV, as always.
Why do people go crazy over Best Buy gift card? To buy actual products at BB?
I think it’s mostly to save for when BB has a sale. Their normal prices are terrible, but the sales are often pretty good. An extra 10 or 20% off via a cheap gift card makes it a steal.
You can also use Best Buy gift cards to buy third-party gift cards like Ebay or gas stations in the Best Buy store. If the discount on the Best Buy gift card you bought is substantial, you end up getting an Ebay or fuel gift card at a better discount than you could have otherwise. DoC has a whole page about this called “Everything you ever wanted to know about Buying Gift Cards at Best Buy.”
Can this offer be combined with a portal, and, if so, what does one search for on the portal aggregators? Giftcards.com? Giftcardmall? Something else?
How does one discover private groups?
Yes, how do you get on these private groups you mentioned?
