Just bought Shell, but no coupon was printed…
Looks like they’re doing it again this week. Same deal – $10 when buying $50; no Shop Rite, GO, Visa, or Mastercard gift cards.
Last week I got eBay and got the coupon. This week I got Home Depot and didn’t. CSR said it was only the pictured cards. Time to call Corporate and see if that’s true.
No, it’s not just the pictured cards. The asterisk note clearly states the exclusions.
It also didn’t print for me this week (variable THD). The manager knew it’s basically all merchant cards except ShopRite, and didn’t even bother with the usual procedure of “look up Price Plus, provide redemption code” – he just gave me the 10 bucks.
But yeah, there’s a way for them to check if you met the requirements by looking up your Price Plus card. If you did meet the requirements, they can output the code the cashier needs to enter to redeem it.
I complained to corporate back in December. They finally got back to me a week or so ago, saying it was only for the pictured cards, but giving me a $5 credit.
ShopWrong in Brooklawn = no dice. They don’t accept credit cards for gift cards. Cashier noted that “we are probably the only ones who do this” and that this was a store policy effective Jan 2021

Last week when I did the deal, customer service had a huge 10 page printout of eligible gift cards when i asked. If it doubt they should have access to it. Pretty much everything was included. I usually just go straight to CS desk and buy them separate anyway since usually I’m asked for my ID when buying $100 at a time. Plus that way if there are any issues they are the ones who you’d need to talk to anyway.
I really wish they would stop putting pictures of 6 random gift cards in the ad. Or maybe that is intentional… to mislead and make you think that it’s only on those 6 cards.

Ask CS to print the full receipt for you, the short version one does not attach the coupon. Learned the lesson last year
Publix has a similar gift card deal through 12/7, but on the same day as purchase. Buy a $50 gift card to Outback, Darden restaurants, Macy’s, Kohl’s or Sephora + $50 in groceries and save $10.
Would this work at Price Rite?
ShopRite is super lame with all the expirations and holes you have to jump through
At my store you have to pay cash or debit for the GCs and then when you go to redeem the bonus no cashier seems to ever know how to do it.
Are you surprised? I hate ShopWrong. It’s the only grocery store near us, I buy all my groceries online or in the city now
You can go ACME if any. S&S/Giant is even worse than Shoprong.
Those grocery stores basically suck too, and are as equally inconvenient for me (we don’t have either S&S or Giant nearby). I still think ShopWrong is the worst, but that’s me. Our store is dirty AF and either they never have what I want to get, or it’s insanely expensive.
