SLH Sail Rock Resort To Become Category 8 Hyatt Property, Round Trip Flights From PLS To XSC Now Included

In October last year it was confirmed that Hyatt was introducing a new category 8 award tier that would cost 40,000 points per night. At the time we noted that Hyatt would be using the addition of Small Luxury Hotels of the world to help sell the new award category. The Sail Rock Resort is currently a category 7 property but will increase to a category 8 property as of April 8th. The reason is that room rates (both regular paid stays and award stays) now include round trip flights from Providenciales International Airport (PLS) to South Caicos International Airport (XSC).

If you book before April 8th (11AM CST) you’ll pay the old price, regardless of when the the stay is due to occur. It looks like you can get a round trip flight for approximately $100 so the room rate increasing by 10,000 points per night is significant, especially on multi night stays.

there’s nothing in South Caicos, just this resort, another one and locals. Very calm but very secluded.
