Our Verdict

According to this, there is no minimum length the account must be kept active to receive the rebate. So you should be able to sign up for a month, cancel after 25 days and only pay one monthly fee. Might make sense to pay two monthly fees just to be safe. That’s either a $42 or $34 money maker. Swagbucks offered a similar deal but that was only a $20 money maker, but did come with a six month subscription.

Update: Same deal available via Swagbucks.

Right after I created the account, I was able to see my account# here (no need for chat/calls):

Did you have the radio? How do you get the account #?

Completed the deal on Swagbucks (thanks to other readers pointing out this option), and see SB already as pending… 🙂

Once you’ve signed up, go to your online account and go to the communication preferences tab. Be sure to turn off all methods of communication since it looks like they will heavily spam us (phone, email, mail, text).

And I love how they conveniently left billing reminders to opt-out by default.

Would suggest staying away from this deal if you are not really a user of SiriusXM.

They are an absolute pain to end the subscription!
Can’t do it online and the caller on the other end would keep throwing offer after offer but not allow you to end the subscription.

I saw earlier today SwagBucks was offering 5000 SB for the same or similar deal. I didn’t have time to research and hoping it would pop-up here. Not sure that helps anyone because SB gets such a bad rap.  William Charles  Chuck

Here is what concerns me about both the SD & SB deals… either promo link takes you to “https://www.siriusxm.com/essential/three-months?” and a whole lot of gobbledygook referrer info beyond that core link. If you go to just that core link I mention, you get the $1 for 3 months offer. So, guessing these entities, SD & SB, made a deal with XM… to cover up the $1 for 3 months promo and charge $8 per month. But, do we need to keep the subscription for 3 months to get a paid…. only time will tell. Just an observation.

Sub says $7.99/mo. Maybe not a big deal but the promo says $8.

I did this deal a month ago, added an inactive radio back onto my account for around $38 or so with fees, and received the $50 rebate via Paypal earlier this week, around 5 weeks to receive. Just be detailed in submitting and include account number and such, must be a member and logged in when clicking for the purchase and when doing the rebate. I’ve received 3 of 3 for Slickdeals rebates with no issue.

So I signed up.. my credit card got charged. but no e-mail from Sirius and now I cannot log into the Sirius account. I’ve never had a Sirius account before did they just delete my account immediately after signing up and charging my card?

oh nevermind.. maybe the account is active? I can log into the main Sirius XM web site and view my Account Number.. though I can’t seem to log into streaming.. hmmm I hate when stuff just doesn’t work.. or when accounts get automatically deleted or disabled with no e-mail and no explanation. It sucks that our consumer laws in the U.S let companies get away with making things so confusing and complicated for people.
