- Southwest is running a promotion to go on vacation from notifications (‘Notification Vacation’) with two offers:
- Get 500 bonus Southwest Rapid Rewards points for taking a quiz. This offer runs until December 12, 2026.
- Get between 500 and 10,000 bonus Southwest Rapid Rewards points for sending in a screenshot showing your unread notification count. This offer runs from October 5th until October 12, 2026 at 5am CT.
The Fine Print
- The Notification Vacation Points Giveaway begins at 05:00 a.m. Central Time on October 5, 2026, and ends at 05:00 a.m. CT on October 12, 2026, or when all available Rapid Rewards points have been awarded, whichever occurs first.
- Notification Vacation Promotion is open only to individuals who are enrolled members of the Rapid Rewards program at the time of entry.
- Must be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States/D.C. and at least 18 years of age or older at time of entry.
- During the Notification Vacation Promotion Period, eligible Members may enter by submitting a screenshot of their phone’s home screen displaying their unread notifications through https://notificationvacation.com.
- Each unread notification shown in the screenshot equals one (1) Rapid Rewards point.
- The screenshot must be captured during the Notification Vacation Promotion Period from a device owned or regularly used by the Member and must accurately display the Member’s genuine unread notifications. Altered, fabricated, duplicated, combined, stitched, misleading, illegible, or otherwise unverifiable screenshots are void.
- Entrants should not include private, confidential, or sensitive message content in a submission. Before capturing a screenshot, entrants should disable or conceal message previews and other unnecessary personal content without altering or misrepresenting the displayed unread-notification count.
- ENTRY LIMIT: Limit one (1) submission and one (1) award per Member and per Rapid Rewards account during the Notification Vacation Promotion Period. A Member may not participate using more than one Rapid Rewards account, and multiple persons may not participate through the same account.
- Eligible Members will receive one (1) Rapid Rewards® point for each qualifying unread notification reflected in their verified screenshot.
- Eligible Members whose verified screenshot reflects fewer than 500 unread notifications will receive a minimum award of 500 Rapid Rewards points.
- The maximum number of Rapid Rewards points any single Member may receive under the Notification Vacation Promotion is 10,000 points. Eligible Members whose verified screenshot reflects more than 10,000 unread notifications will not receive more than 10,000 Rapid Rewards points.
- Total Points Available for Notification Vacation Promotion: 150,000,000 (one hundred fifty million) Rapid Rewards points.
- Points awarded through the Promotion do not count toward A-List, A-List Preferred, or Companion Pass qualification.
- Subject to verification, up to 21,000,000 Rapid Rewards points are expected to be available for award each day of the Promotion Period. Once the points allocated for a particular day have been claimed, verified submissions received later that day will not be eligible to receive points. Unused points allocated to a particular day will carry forward to a subsequent day.
- Once all 150,000,000 points have been awarded, no additional points will be distributed, and the Promotion may end early.
- Points generally will be deposited within seven (7) days after Sponsor completes verification of the eligible submission.
- All submissions and point awards are subject to verification by Sponsor.
- Notification Vacation Promotion (Notification Vacation Points Giveaway) and Burnout Quiz Promotion (Burnout Quiz Points Giveaway) are separate and independently administered promotions, each with its own eligibility, entry method, point allocation, and terms. Eligible Members may participate in both promotions subject to each promotion’s respective terms.
Our Verdict
Should be an easy 500 points for the quiz and at least 500 for sending in a screenshot with your unread notifications. And some people will land up with a whopping 10,500 points from the promo.
From what we’re hearing, you can send in multiple screenshots (up to 10) of your phone screen showing unread notifications/badges across various apps. Not sure if they’re actually verifying the notification totals, but personally I’m uncomfortable sending in a fake screenshot so I’ll just be happy with the 1,000 free points.
