Southwest Schedule Extended Until July 10, 2023

Southwest periodically make flights for further in the future available. You can now book flights through July 10, 2023. Southwest has a good cancellation/refunds policy. You either get a credit towards a future flight (Wanna Get Away) or cash refund (Business Select or Anytime). That means it’s often a good idea to book as soon as the schedule is released and then check back to see if it has dropped in price, if/when it does you can just click ‘change flight’.

Has anyone created an extension or app that monitors the prices/point cost, so we don’t have to check back every day?

Is this money make? Didn’t understood how it works. Say if I buy a flight for $300 and price drops to $250, what should I “change”then ??

you can re-book and get the difference back in points (if paid in points) or non-expiring credits(if paid with a card).

There’s no money to be made, but there is a potential to save. If you know your flight details now, book. If/When the flight drops in price, rebooking will give you a refund of the difference based on your purchase method and ticket type. If/When the price rises, you already have your ticket.

As long as you don’t mind having points or funds tied up, booking early with Southwest is rarely a bad idea.
