In a recent market Sprint announced they would be launching a new rewards program called ‘My Sprint Rewards’. Despite it being called a rewards program, it seems like it’s really more of a shopping portal for now. Rewards are earned for shopping at specific merchants, for example:
In the YouTube launch video it does mention freebies (e.g Free Large Pizza at Papa John’s at 0:18) and during the market call they stated it would have a full advertised roll out on 1/15, so I imagine we will start seeing the better deals then. You can currently only download the app on Android phones, I suspect we will see an iOS option soon Update: now available on iOS as well. This replaces Sprint’s old similar loyalty program called ‘Love, Sprint’ that never really launched as far as I know.
It’s clear this is meant to compete with other similar offerings, for example T-Mobile offers T-Mobile Tuesdays.
