- Staples.com is selling $100 Mastercard gift cards for $100 shipped. Limit 8.
Our Verdict
It’s not common to have fee-free deals online. Looks like an easy win for those with an INK card or for someone who wants to knock off some spend. Let us know in the comments if there’s anything else to stack this with.
Update: Readers note that in the past there’ve been issues with Mastercard gift cards from Staples.com so you might want to avoid.
Hat tip to GC Galore
Seems like the price has not changed?
The first line of the post has “Deal is actually for in store, not online” but personally have never seen a $100 no fee card at Staples in store.
Today is 10/30, still seeing the $7.95 fee added.
Anyone knows if Staples take Paypal for payment? Trying to stack with CFF Q4 5%. Thanks
“PayPal cannot be used:
1. In combination with other online purchase payment options including Credit Cards, Gift Cards and Pre-paid cards.
2. In store.
3. As a payment method to place orders via telephone.
4. To purchase Gift Cards and Pre-paid cards.
5. To purchase a Staples Plus membership.”
I am confused, next weeks ad has the $200 mastercard listed on sale on page 9 but it doesn’t say anything about the $100 mastercard being on sale online?
Weekly ads are store ads.
I understand that, but Staples generally doesn’t advertise online sales in adavance. I am wondering if Doc put up the wrong post by mistake.
I think DoC has their sources …
I think Doc will update the post once he realizes he posted the wrong one. There is no “source” for the online deals on the visa/mastercard as they are not advertised. GCgalore has the correct deal posted which is for the in store mastercards.
fIXED, THANKS
Yeha made a mistake, fixed now.
I have an Amex offer for $25 back on $100 at Staples.
On which Amex card did you get this offer?
I had it on Blue Business Plus main cardholder and all authorized users.
hilton business, business gold, and business platinum
This is dead now on the arrival. Fee is added.
impressive vision given that arrival is on Sunday
starts 10/30!!
I bought a bunch of them. All of them activated well.
We just need to find places to use them. It is a pain to use $100 one by one.
supermarkets are fine if you do not have other 5% cards for groceries. With these, I also had much success paying my elec and phone /cable bill online. But I was using USBank Cash+ for those (5%). I am using it at the dentist’s office and paying Travelers Insurance online. I also reloaded my Amazon acct with these. Hopes this helps.
Does Travelers let you make multiple payments without adding any fees?
yes, no fees if using Visa or MC gift card, BUT you can only do 1 payment per 24 hours and weekends do not count. Ive been doing this for years, auto and home. I used 500 VGC also, but as I said, 1 payment per 24 hours. A good way to liquidate from home.
thanks for sharing this information.
No FSA/HSA option for your dental payments? They really should be available to everyone.
I use them for all of my non-bonus categories, like general online shopping. Then drain any left over by buying amazon credit or using a self-checkout.
Swagbucks also lets you add $10 ($5 x 2) to your account every day. They also give you 12.5% off a $25 cash GC per month. I also buy the 5% off biz GC that I use (grubhub and CVS) and 2% off cash GC. And of course, you can cash out to Paypal for no discount. Buying SB also helps you hit the daily goal for more money. The daily + weekly bonuses if you add $10 a day is about $30 a month too.
Use them in costco as debit cards. Last 4 digits are the pin.
do they auto drain for you at Costco?
i believe they do, also CVS will auto drain the balance
Yes they are also at Hmart and TRaders Joe
When I click on the direct link, it shows the price as $108 shipped. Do I need to input a code?
Purchased 6 despite the negative reviews. First set of 3 activated properly through giftcardkey. Second set error’d out, but registration worked afterwards at mygift.giftcardmall.
Got my cards in the mail a few days ago and can’t activate any of them. 2 calls to Staples third party gift card dept and they still don’t work. I should’ve read the reviews on Staples’ website.
Did they come from Arroweye/BHN like with the Meijer deal a couple months ago? calling the number on the card didn’t work?
Took 4 calls and an escalation to a manager at Staples but finally got all 3 working.
