[Expired] Starbucks Free Refill Tumbler 2020 – $40 Includes Free Drinks Every Day In January

Deal has ended, view the most recent Starbucks deals by clicking here.

The Offer

  • Starbucks is offering their refill tumbler for $40 for 2020. It includes free dripped coffee every day in January, if you used it every day it would cost you $1.29 per day.

The Fine Print

  • In store only
  • Goes on sale on November 26th, 2019

Our Verdict

It seems at some stores these sell out quickly, whereas other stores will still have inventory in December/early January and the tumblers get deep discount (as low as $4, but normally $20 when discounted). I don’t like Starbucks so this is an easy pass for me, but might be worth it for some readers. Starbucks for life promotion is now valid

Let’s break this down. A tall brewed coffee with a reusable cup costs you $2.19 where I live. Times 30 is $67. And you get a nice cup, metal not plastic. No brainer if you go every day

I just go to the Capital One cafe in my city. 50% off Peet’s coffee w/ Cap 1 card every single day for any beverage. No gimmicks.

I’m going to save myself $40 by not buying a refillable tumbler which I will NEVER USE after January.

God knows I already have enough refillable tumblers from vendors, employers, career fairs, fundraisers, and marketing agencies for all of my great-grandchildren and their great-grandchildren.

For SB regulars it is a pretty good deal and it doesn’t matter how many tumblers they already have: ~50% off of my daily dose of coffee for the full month of January…I will take it even though I may not use that tumbler after January.

Can you use it only once per day? My husband usually gets 2 coffees during a workday. If he can use it for both his coffees, it is so worth it.

Although there is a printed limit it is just a code the barista punches in. At $20 or $30 (their original price) it was fine but not at $40. Note that these also qualify for Mistos, since regular Starbucks is way too strong IMHO.

I got excited for “free drinks” but free drip coffee is less exciting. I love myPressi espresso. I’ve been spoiled.

Yeah sometime SBUX drip coffee is as bad as gas stations (think out in the boondocks gas station not QuikTrip’s). SBUX expresso is acceptable -but I’m not a coffee snob. But get Americano’s and rarely a dessert coffee.
