StubHub Refusing To Issue Refunds For Shows That Have Been Cancelled

StubHub has updated it’s refund policy for canceled events, previously you’d receive a full refund. Now StubHub is giving people a coupon worth 20% more than the value of the ticket. I personally don’t mind companies offering this as an option, but the option of a full refund as per the terms when they purchased the ticket should also be available. United is doing something similar with their schedule change policy. I guess this gives consumers a true look at how a company treats its customers.

After being on hold all day and hung up on twice from stubhub, I filed a dispute with my bank to get my money back so I’m hoping that works out.. I heard if you do that stubhub may ban you from services but after all this I wouldn’t use their services again anyways.

I just found out that because I did the same thing and filed a dispute with my bank, stubhub locked my account. This company is nothing but a scam.

You didn’t mention the best part: The “coupon” is only valid for one year. In the middle of a global pandemic.

Adding StubHub to my boycott list. I hope they go bankrupt.

First I would dispute the charge on my credit card. If unsuccessful, go to small claims court on this.

Stubhub needs to be gone like yesterday. The ticketmaster and stubhub collusion is so obvious. The live venue industry needs an upheaval. Concert tickets should be refundable…make it less lucrative for a**hole scalpers

This sort of happened to me. Won the dispute with Amex.

Bought tickets to a Man City game in England in March and the game was postponed and then Stubhub wouldn’t let us resell the tickets. So they gave us a credit in GBP, which can’t be used on US tickets….Called back and emailed for 2 weeks with no response, so we disputed with Amex, even mentioning the credit, and Amex still disputed in our favor.

BAD: people needs cash back to their card in order to pay off the balance. Bad move StubHub!

GOOD: if people has some saving/cash and not rush to cash out, a 20% is a bonus for future use ( banks dont pay that much)

really depends on individual needs.
