Deal expired today as per T&C. I purchased and consumed 27 foot longs, missing 3 days. Went off everyday without a hitch. I did not find a “non-participating” USA franchise near me, or when I was on the road. Tried some new sandwiches, and made up some new combos.

Never eat at subway again? Fresh? My ass. Made me sick last time.

I’ve gotten food poisoning from a burger from at Hardee’s, a burrito at Moe’s Southwest Grill and deep-fried sushi from a local place. It can happen anywhere, and usually isn’t due to something the location did. Tainted ingredients are the top reason.

You don’t hold the establishment responsible, because it can happen anywhere? Really?

So charge $15 plus tax for a discount that is virtually unusable on sandwiches that are virtually inedible.

On paper this is an excellent ploy to separate fools from their money.

This is actually a decent deal for those that go to Subway a lot. Buying 2-3 subs in April will break even on the pass.

Personally I go maybe once every 1-2 months. I typically like using the coupons on hip2save for subway (sorry about plugging another coupon site). They typically have all the current working codes. Note that many subway shops explicitly don’t participate in promos (maybe 1/3 of the shops in my area work for promo codes).

My most used promo code from hip2save subway are typically the BOGO subway footlong, with code typically being something like FREEFL, FREESUB, FREEFOOTLONG (changes often). Or the 5.99 Footlong deal, with promo codes usually being 599FL, 599SUB, 599FOOTLONG

none of those codes work
if you’re going to just copy and paste expired codes from random deal sites, you might as well be your own coupon blog

Current active codes are FREEFL and 599FL and like I mentioned, most stores don’t accept any promos. Maybe 1/3 of them do accept promos

Thats the problem. When I had installed the app, every few days it will send me this coupon and that. I will go all the way to check out to see if it is working or not and of course it wont work. It was just a big waste of time, I uninstalled the app and the store here is horrible, the guy thinks lettuce is gold leaf

I can confirm ChickenLittle comment in terms of promo codes which are go through March 26. I get the paper coupons every month and noticed they are updating the promo codes every month vs the last few years where its the same code. I always use the app to order with the codes then I can reuse the coupon codes anytime I want during the month without giving up the paper version. Anyway, I dont think this a good deal because every month I get new mailed promos for 50% off footlong or buy one get one free. To me they are trying to find more sales and bring in some extra cash in the door as their is talks about selling to another company.

I, fortunately, live in an area where there are some really good sub shops, which puts Subway to shame.

Subway has never been about quality subs

Great deal if you’re either (a) an employee at a tiny local airport with no other options nearby for lunch or (2) a passenger trapped at such an airport during a layover/delay/cancellation.

They almost always have a 50% off promo code for footlongs, dont see a point in buying a pass for something thats already free

Freesub and freefootlong don’t work anymore. There are $7 footlong and 3 footlongs for $18 though

FREEFL and 599FL both work in rich parts of AZ and CA as recent as last week. Is Subway my go to? Hell to the no. But in a pinch, it can suffice.

I hadn’t heard of FREEFL yet so that is good to know that the BOGO still exists. I did the 3 for $17.99 on Friday for the weekend and that’s when I spotted the Footlong Pass.

Does anyone know if stores are locked into giving you the 50% off? The ones by me never accept the weekly promo codes (on the app at least, I haven’t tried inquiring in person to see if they’ll wink-wink the deal) but would they be obligated to give me this?

Digital offer is redeemable only in the App or online at participating Subway® restaurants. Footlong offerings are subject to availability at individual participating Subway® restaurants. …. Void in IA & where prohibited or restricted by law.

Wonder why the corn growers get banned….

Probably something in Iowa law that makes them unable to offer it there, or at least not without a lot more work that they don’t want to bother with.

According to a post on reddit, franchise owners are reimbursed 50% of the amount. they cannot opt-out of this promotion.
