USELESS on most AA flights and utterly misleading by T-Mobile. ONLY works on Gogo equipped flights, so CRJ-700s, for example (think OKC to ORD, or ORD to STL, or short hops like that). Some A319s have it. Flew to London from ORD after the start, and was asked to pay $35 if I wanted wifi. I laughed and went to sleep. TM needs to correct itself fast.

This is broader than Gogo as the benefit is coming “soon” to United which doesn’t use Gogo.

They’ve had Gogo only for years. This announcement marks the beginning of expansion outside gogo.

I was on Alaska flights this week and got the full flight wifi. Issue is, it never asked me to choose the 4 flights for the year. So I ended up using full access for two flights that were only 90 minutes long.

Anyone knows how to choose the 4 full flights?

Haven’t tried the wifi access yet but my guess would be it uses up your 4 full flight passes first and then starts the 1 hour passes.

If it doesn’t let you choose then it’s unlimited without using a full flight

A few comments on reddit as well as the terms do mention that basically any plan that had the old 1 hour gogo passes will get the 4 full flight passes per year plus 1 hour afterwards. Anyone who has the equivalent of Magenta max benefits will get the equivalent going forward as well.

Just a heads up that I’ve been looking into this and the fine print indicates that many of the old school plans like the standard One plan I have qualify for the lower tier of these new Magenta travel benefits like high speed internet in 11 European countries and 4 unlimited in flight WiFi passes per year.
