Update 11/14/19: The miles you receive on subscription have been doubled until November 15th on the Club Top & Club Platinum. This means when you subscribe you’ll get 8,000 bonus miles on Club Top & 24,000 miles on Club platinum. Hat tip to Frequent Flyer Bonuses
Tap Air Portugal has launched TAP Miles&Go Club, basically you pay a fee and get bonus miles and some other benefits.
- Club Basic: $122 and get 14,000 miles (0.87¢ per mile)
- Club Extra: $294 and get 26,000 miles (1.13¢ per mile)
- Club Top: $493 and get 52,000 miles (0.94¢ per mile)
- Club Platinum: $887 and get 108,000 miles (0.82¢ per mile)
Avianca offers a similar program, but this program effectively sells miles for much cheaper. I personally never buy miles and I’m not that familiar with TAP, but I suppose this could be good opportunity for people that value TAP miles. Update: Apparently this is not new or not
