Received bonus points on Jul 22nd for all transactions prior to that date. Since then only getting the standard 1%. Asked on chat and they told me to wait 12 weeks, so have to check back Oct 23rd for charges on July 23rd.

And no I cannot get a copy of the chat for “my security”. Saved some screenshots but it took forever since the chatbox is tiny.

Oh well, I can throw that Amex card into the sock drawer if I don’t start seeing bonus points post starting Oct 23rd.

Dunno why Amex gave me the 5% until July 22nd and then singled me out for a “bait & switch”.

Thanks for the report.

NOTE: Bonus points are NOT listed by clicking on the charge detail (you will only see 1X there).
Instead to check if you are receiving 5X points on non-Amazon/WF charges, after you login, you need to click on the tab “Rewards” the choose “Points Summary” for details . You will see the following for 5X points — 5% BCK ON ALL ELGBLE PURCHASES – These points have been added because of an offer or qualifying purchases made.

It appears that you might be getting 6X points (1 regular point plus 5 bonus points) on these charges.

Terrific, thanks – that was hard to find but I was able to. It is only 5 pts total though(4+1) As I got 1312 points for my insurance payment of $1312 then 5248 points several days later with the 5% tag

Thought this news would get more comments. Just goes to show how many actually have this card lol. I chose this card over the Chase personal card cause of the SUB and I was able to churn it for two SUBs in a matter of months cause I switched Prime accounts. Regretted getting this card cause it never got any spending bonuses like the Chase one, but this kinda makes up for it! I’m one of the lucky ones who got targeted with the email, thanks!

Assuming most ppl here have a 2% cash back card, the marginal benefit of this offer is 10k * (5-2%) = $300. And that’s if you track & time the opportunity cost perfectly.

So it’s comparable to a $300 sign up bonus after spending $10k.

But, no credit pull which is worth $200. So perhaps still $500 benefit depending on how you normally play this game.

Same. You do need to be targeted.
