Our Verdict

It’s actually possible to call in and get this offer for most people. Obviously easier if you’re just straight up targeted though. One of the best bonuses that is possible on this card, sometimes they have larger bonuses for 150,000 points but the minimum spend requirement is significantly higher.

I will probably never be targeted, since I’ve churned every other card in the Amex portfolio. Tried the script, worked up good rapport with the CSR, but no dice. I applied anyway — 75K is still better than the typical 40-50K for non targeted Plats.

Could I maybe luck into an RSVP code someday? I guess. If so, I’ll use it on my S.O. For now, the chance to soak up some large purchases (which will trigger the 1.5pt/$ threshold), in December no less (so I can take triple advantage of the calendar-year benefits), is good enough. When you’re at LOL/24, take whatever you can get!

Gift cards from Simon Mall aren’t working. Cards from other places might. YMMV.

You’re probably better off using legit spending, opening bank accounts, etc.

Email me at [email protected] for the link with the RSVP. I only have one. First to email me will get it. And make sure to read the details in the application page. The email says 100k after $10k but I could not find this in the app page itself.

I also have a 11 hour flight with layover back home to Hawaii. So I won’t get to respond to the email until Tuesday.

It’s business card. I believe only the personal cards are tied to the name on the offer.

Got this too. But there is no easier (less time spending) way of MS 10k nowadays.

pre-emptive IRS expected tax payment? That would require you to float $10k to the IRS until your your tax return comes, but might be worth it for a few months

Mine was only 75k… not worth it.

No lifetime language? Worth it then.

For 5k spend 75k points? I’d jump on that since usually they want 10k spend for higher bonuses. Also harder to make these larger min spends if plastiq is still not an option.
