The Offer
- American Express has sent out some cardholders cards that entitle them to $50 off $100+ at Fleming’s when they present the card and pay the existing balance with an American Express card (must be used by 8/12/2017)
- They also give you another card for $25 off $100+ (still have to use an American Express card) that is valid from 8/13/17 through 9/30/17. They say this is to give to a friend but I don’t think that’s enforced.
Our Verdict
Interesting that this isn’t a standard AmEx offer and they are instead sending out these physical cards that must be redeemed. 50% discount is great, I doubt you will be able to purchase gift cards (they are excluded) and maybe that’s why they sent out these physical cards instead of the normal offer.
I received one in the mail for $40 off $100 (not $50 off $100) or more and another for $25 off $100 or more.
I got something like this last year… hope it comes again.
I’ve had AMEX cards for 5 years now and never got one of these before. And now a Flemings opened nearby, I was actually planning on paying them a visit so I’d love to get this offer.
I do only eat kosher, but if I’m getting $25 for every $10, you might just find me at Fleming’s Steakhouse.
I received one on my Blue Cash card
AMEX has been sending these for a few years now. I’ve never seen the second smaller card though. I pretty much only go to Flemings when I receive one of these cards or if they send me an email with a similar discount. The steak is pretty good but probably not worth full price.
I have also seen AMEX send discount cards for Seasons 52 on occasion.
I’ve received Seasons 52 cards in the past… just got this one in the mail and will definitely use both!
I have not received this deal yet this year but I have twice received offers from AMEX through the mail that I believe were just straight $50 off with a minimum $50 purchase. The first time I took my wife and we had a nice night. Last year I went by myself and was rewarded with very bad service. I didn’t present the card until the end but the waiter seemed to be expecting it.
Hopefully, other people will have better experiences. Isn’t the point of such offers to show one a good time so they’ll want to come back?
Which cardholders received these? Could stack nicely with the boxed outback gift card deal.
How would it stack? You still need to pay the remaining balance of the tab with an Amex card…
$25 Off $10? That’s either a typo or AmEx’s most generous offer yet 🙂
