Our Verdict
This is probably highly targeted, no luck for me. I found this offer reported on TPG who found it on their Platinum card; let us know if you see this deal. This deal works across multiple transactions which makes it easier to meet.
Judging from the terms, I’d have guessed it won’t work on gift cards, but there is a data point (input in the comments just yesterday) on a similar offer from November that it did, in fact, work on gift cards bought directly from Delta’s website. YMMV.
