Looks like another round has been sent out. Fingers crossed that Chase doesn’t report this as a $500 bonus on 1099 forms again. Hat tip to FM
The Offer
Sent out via e-mail. Subject line is ‘<name>, please review: We’ll thank you with a $5 statement credit when you switch to paperless’
- Chase is offering some cardholders a $5 statement credit when you go paperless by 3/2/2019
The Fine Print
- Valid until 3/2/2019
Our Verdict
Sometimes I think these types of offers are self defeating, if people know you might send such an offer out then they will select to receive paper statements even when they would normally go paperless. I think a better option would be to offer something like $5 when signing up for a new card to go paperless instead (similar to the $25 bonus Chase offers on a lot of cards for authorized users).
