The Fine Print

Our Verdict
How useful this deal is will depend on what partners you’ve earned with before. Some such as Lyft or Skymiles shopping are easy (and there is another shopping bonus you could do at the same time) the others are a bit more difficult. They have had other partner bonuses in the past as well.

DP: Got the email a couple days ago. Also stayed at an airbnb on Sun/Mon this week, having made the booking through the delta/airbnb portal, prior to receiving the email. I’ve already had 1k + 1.5k Skymiles credited to my account for the stay, posting as “partner bonus.” Not sure why they gave me double the credits for just one stay, but i’m not complaining!

Member eligibility: This is a private offer exclusively for selected SkyMiles members who receive the promotional email. Offer is not transferable to other members.
Offer Registration: Offer registration is not required.
Offer: Eligible SkyMiles members will earn 1,000 bonus miles when earning miles with the first New participating partner and an additional 1,500 bonus miles when earning miles on the second New participating partner between November 5, 2018 and December 31, 2018 up to a maximum of 2,500 bonus miles per member.

Eligibility of Transactions: Bonus will only be awarded on base miles and not on bonus miles. Eligible transactions include Base miles earned on Hotel stays, Airbnb stays, Lyft rides, car rental bookings, SkyMiles Shopping US and SkyMiles Dining. Only accrual partner transactions with an activity date between November 5, 2018 and December 31, 2018 will be considered for bonuses. Activity date is defined as the date of the transaction as reported by the partner regardless of the date the transaction is posted in the member’s account.
Excluded Transactions:
Some transactions from eligible partners are excluded including and not limited to: miles earned from bonuses, events, transfer of partner currency to miles, Hotel Vacation Club transactions, Partner voucher credits, other mileage earning that are not related with hotel stays,Airbnb stays, Lyft rides, car rental bookings, SkyMiles Shopping US and SkyMiles Dining. Some partners offer multiple ways to earn miles under different products, brands, merchants, conversion of currency to miles, etc. These will still be considered as a single partner. Some examples of these cases are: Hotels booked via delta.com Hotels, merchants under the SkyMiles Shopping program, restaurants under the SkyMiles Dining program, hotel brands under the same Hotel portfolio, partner activity and a points conversion to miles from the same partner and others. This offer cannot be combined with other public or private offers in market.

I found it nice that registration wasn’t required b/c I happened to eat at a dining restaurant a few days ago w/o knowing it was on the list.
How can they track it? Do I have to book through the particular link?

they track it via portal on their website or via membership number.
