How many days after the transaction did the $50 credit?
wondering the same thing never got mine
FYI it gets credited into your cashback, not a statement credit. Did you check there? I’ve seen people miss that before.
Got the $50 wirhout making a purchase with the AU card. Looks like the purchase could be made with the primary card.
Seems plausible, since my AU card has the exact same number, expiration, and CVC as the primary card.
The terms don’t even specify the purchase needs to be made by AU card.
How many days after the transaction did the $50 hit the account. I did not get it even after 15 days.
Per WSJ earlier today, Capital One is buying Discover
FYI for anyone doing this. Discover does report their cards to the Credit Bureau(s). So for anyone trying to stay under 5/24 or whatever, remember this will show as a new account on the AUs credit report and possibly impact 5/24.
With that being said you can contact Chase (not sure about other card companies) and inform them you are an authorized user and they typically will take that into account.
I personally don’t like to deal with the hassle so I’ll just add a family member that doesn’t care. And it gives them a little boost in their credit score.
Thanks for $50.
is there an age requirement for AU? or can i put my newborn on a card?
must be 15 years old
Got $25 offer instead. Can I add P2 multiple times as AU?
You can remove and then re-add P2. I’ve successfully accomplished this.
The terms say up to $50 on account on my email. Likely the same on yours. You might want to try and remove P2 and re-add again and see if it works.
The fine print when adding says: “If you provide inaccurate information or you are not adding them to use the account, we can close your account.”
What does this mean? Does making one purchase count as “use the account”?
I believe this language is to guard against credit piggybacking.
Using a fake SSN for your potted geranium is going to be considered “providing inaccurate information.”
Got the email. Any cons of doing this?
I think the AU card will appear on that person’s credit report; might cause annoyances (for them) for the Chase 5/24 rule.
Has anyone else had this issue? I was looking to transfer money into my Discover Debit and/or Savings account and it says “Receive by 2/1, Available by……..2/14!!!!”
What? I thought maybe a misprint and it should be 2/4, but that is a Sunday so it doesn’t make sense.
