I used it a couple times before 2018 and was getting targeted once a while. But when I start paying my HOA this year (schedule payment @ 2.5% monthly) I never got any target anymore.

Now that gift cards are not allowed, is Plastiq still worth signing up for? I suppose if you get 1% offer and use a regular credit card which also gives 1% back, the fee is covered. Any thoughts? Thanks

i used Plastiq 2 years ago to pay off my truck and have not used it since… I’ve been targeted for all the deals… now I’m pissed they won’t allow gift cards anymore… I have $1k in student loans to pay back and want to use a mcgc in january from the disco q1 categories… but alas, it won’t work…

I could pay my prop taxes, if I knew where they need to go (first year without escrow) and my 1040ES for sure. But I’d really like to put the spend on my Amex Surpass card to hit the $40K for 2020 to requal for HH Diamond, but the spend has to be in 2020 for Diamond while the Plastiq transactions have to process by the 31st. Is there a way to get it to post on the 1st with the 1% fee?

Have had offers in the past, but don’t see any current ones. Most likely because I had recent plastiq payments at the regular rate when I needed to make some large payments and was getting FFD back in return. May have to lay off using plastiq to see if it will trigger one of these offers for me.

Any way to get something like this as a sign up bonus for Plastiq? Have property tax bill due end of January and would love to use for 1% fee. The normal referral offer of $500 free payment doesn’t really entice me too much, as that wouldn’t cover most of the property tax… Thanks!

For people getting targeted, have you previously used the service to play bills to get targeted? Been signed up for over a year but never get targeted.

Me either. Signed up for two years or so but was never targeted.

Yes, you need to pay bills at 2.5% rate. Once you do it a few time, the galore starts.

Had FFD’s from some signup referral code and used those to pay bills. Now I seem to get targeted for each of these.

I got this email and found that despite the email wording saying it’s only valid on payments processed “before 11:59 PM ET on December 31, 2019”, it worked for payments scheduled to process on January 1, 2020 (but not January 2 or later).

How did you schedule a payment to process on 01 Jan? Its a holiday and the processing of payments has to be either the day before of the day after in all combination of payments I have tried…..I would really like to schedule something to process on 01 Jan than 31 Dec as that would mean the start of the new quarter. Thanks in advance….

The processing date isn’t the same as the delivery date. What you’re selecting is the delivery date; the processing date will be earlier, and you can see when it is here: https://help.plastiq.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010439853-What-is-the-processing-date-

Thanks for that link. I do understand the difference between the two, just that it was not clear they would process/initiate a scheduled payment on a non-business day. I see now by clicking on that box as discussed in the link you posted that the electronic payment I schedule to be delivered on Monday 06 Jan does show a process date of 01 Jan. For some reason (maybe because the FAQ said 6 business days) I had concluded that such a payment would process on 31 Dec. That link certainly helped to clarify before making the payment as to what the process date would be.

Wow, P2 targeted again with this 1% without an email despite having been targeted earlier this month with 1.5. Now we have paid everyone one month in advance already with the previous promo and people already thinking we won a lottery or something…..

thanks for the heads up. i was targeted for the 1.5% and took advantage of it. i didn’t receive an email for this 1% promo. but, when i try to submit a payment, it’s charging just 1%.
