Our Verdict
These are basically the same bonuses you get when you sign up for a new account, so even better if you get an upgrade offer I guess! Unfortunately it’s a targeted offer.
Has anyone received this bonus or found out when the payout is?
keep in mind PNC also doesnt report a 1099-DIV to you and subsequently IRS. Use that info as you will.
I was able to get the offer on yesterday… I simply called in to customer service and asked about the promotion and then coded and updated my account accordingly
When should we expect payout?
Makes me wonder how strict they are on churning their regular offer. What is it normally, once every 12months? Anyone ever try sooner? We all know Wells Fargo doesn’t actually care.
WF does care, sometimes. Those that did the Everyday checking $250 winter (Feb17) and the $150 “ten debits – no DD” this last spring (May17) found out. They are slowly tightening up the loose ship.
As for PNC, I was a force converted RBC Centura customer and have had my standard checking account for years – no offer for me so far. I might call and ask – it can’t hurt.
any Data point on Bank or CU transfer count as Direct Deposit?
I just found an answer to my question.

I just closed my account from the $300 bonus last year, wish I had waited. Now considering opening a plain Virtual Wallet account to get another $2k CC funding and hope I get targeted.
I got this, called in and upgraded, CSR said he saw the offer tied to my account, Will do the requirements and see if I get the bonus again
Did you happen to get the bonus yet?
I got this offer after receiving their highest bonus with the performance select account and then downgrading to the lowest tier. I’m glad I didn’t close the account completely now because if I upgrade back and get this bonus again, that would be an unexpected and awesome surprise
I did the same, but I closed my account last week! So annoyed!!
Related to PNC but not this offer specifically: any idea how long it takes for cashback offers to show up in a PNC account after opening?
