Our Verdict
I imagine that a lot of readers will have KeyBank accounts that are sitting mostly dormant given that they currently offering a $200 checking bonus, which is one of the few bank bonuses we actually recommend you to sign up for. Fingers crossed that a lot of you in this situation also receive this targeted offer. Let me know if you did or didn’t in the comments below.

Thanks for this tip. I’m in Asia, rest of family in Europe on vaca, and I don’t have access to my mail arriving in the USA for a month. I’m going to assume I was targeted as the account IS lying dormant, so I’ll just go ahead and pay a few bills and buy a few gift cards, and hopefully it’ll trigger. And if not, no big deal. 🙂
Unfortunately I screwed up the $200 offer a few months ago somehow…. DD Didn’t go through when I thought it did and I was $100 short and 3 days late… No luck talking to a rep online. But I DID Get this $50 Targeted paper mail offer so its not a total loss. Just going to do 10 Bill Pays to my CC…well see how it goes.
Just a quick note. KeyBank is no longer offering $200 checking bonus. Instead, they are offering $100 for opening a hassle-free checking account or $300 for opening a advantage checking account ($18 monthly fee, which is hard to avoid) or above. I personally like the old $200 bonus since it’s lucrative and easy to keep the account without paying the monthly fee.
