[Expired] Topcashback: Get 10% Cash Back At Raise.com

Update 7/10/20: Deal is back for today.

Update 5/1/20: Deal is back for today and tomorrow. Hat tip to reader Roman

Update 4/24/20: Deal is back for today only.

Update 4/17/20: Deal is back for today only.

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Topcashback is offering 10% back on Raise.com gift card purchases. Offer is valid today and tomorrow, 2/13 – 2/14.

The Fine Print

  • Orders submitted over $1000 are not eligible for cash back.
  • If you list a gift card for sale on Raise.com you will not be eligible for cash back.
  • Orders submitted under $20 are not eligible for cash back.
  • After you have placed over $5,000 in lifetime purchases on Raise.com, you will no longer be eligible for cash back.

Our Verdict

This only works if you haven’t made $5,000 in lifetime purchases from Raise.com, including purchases not made through the Topcashback portal (more information in this post), so it won’t work for a lot of us. Otherwise, it’s a pretty sweet deal as it’s 10% on top of the existing discount on Raise.com.

I don’t see Raise Cash Back Gift Cards excluded in the fine print this time, but they usually are excluded, and I assume they will not earn cash back from Topcashback.

Some readers in the comments are having issues with this deal tracking. I’m unsure if it’s due to the portal limits or if Raise just doesn’t track well.

Deal History

Update 4/10/20: Back to 10%. Not sure if the tracking issues have all been sorted. Personally I’d be waiting until it has been confirmed that it is.

Update 4/7/20: People are getting credited now for the missing cashback, and Topcashback is telling users that the tracking issue has now been fixed and should work automatically from now on.

Update, statement from TCB about Raise issues:

TopCashback has just received notice from the network that they are experiencing a tracking issue with Raise.com that they are actively working on resolving. For each member who has recently made a purchase on Raise.com and sees that their cashback has been declined, we’ve been alerted that this will be paid out, but with a delay. Please reach out to Dominique via email to [email protected] so she can help to escalate this process. Please be prepared to email information about your purchase including a receipt to help make your experience as quick and efficient as possible. Thank you and we appreciate your patience.

Topcashback is currently offering 10%. Personally I think this should be pulled until these issues are resolved.

Update 3/30/20: Back again for today only at 15% cash back (we don’t usually see higher than 10%). Note, Raise doesn’t seem to track well so you might have to file a claim and hope for the best.

Update 3/27/20: Back again

Update 3/24/20: Back again and available until 3/24. I’m guessing Raise is desperate to move inventory at this stage.

Update 3/21/20: I’m seeing 4% now (11 pm ET), not sure when they lowered it.

Update 3/20/20: Deal is back for today and tomorrow (3/20-3/21). Hat tip to reader RM. Note again that Raise tracking people seem to complain about pretty often so you might need to file a ticket.

Update 3/13/20: Deal is back for today and tomorrow (3/13 & 3/14). Hat tip to GC Galore.

Update 2/28/20: Deal is back for today and tomorrow. Hat tip to GCGalore

Update 2/26/20: Seems to have expired early.

Update 2/25/20: Deal is back for today and tomorrow (2/25-2/26). Hat tip to FM

This is a great deal but waiting five months on the last cash back that should have only taken a little over 3 months to credit is not worth it for me. TCB jus takes too long to get your cash back.

Hi There,

As you might not know, TopCashback is the only cashback site to date that doesn’t keep a portion of the cashback. We always wait for the retailer to pass over the cashback to us. So while at times it may take a bit longer, you are still getting the best deal.

Best Wishes

Dominique, you may have heard the phrase “the customer is always right” and wondered what it meant. This is an example of it – if the customer doesn’t feel the waiting and uncertainty are worth the promised cashback rate, then it’s not the best deal for them.

Hi Fred,

I completely understand it can be bothersome to wait at times, but that is simply what happens when we have to wait for the retailer to pass us over the money since we don’t keep a portion of the cashback. Every retailer is different, and so the estimated payable speed will vary as well. Some will be quicker than others. This is just how the process works. If there is ever a chance for us to speed it up, we certainly will do so.

Best,

Dominique

I understand, and I use TCB most of the time. But telling someone they’re wrong for not liking your product is a bad look.

Hi Fred,

I never said they were wrong, just simply stating our process and how it’s still the best deal if you were to compare it to other cashback sites. It’s totally understandable if someone isn’t fond of the process.

Best Wishes

“Hello There,

This email is to inform you that you should now see the reversal in your account for your Raise declined cashback. We are so happy that we were able to fix this for you and we surely don’t anticipate any issues like this occurring in the future. Thank you so much for your patience as we worked through this, and we sincerely apologize for the delay. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach back out.

Best Wishes,

Dominique ”

Let’s see if they turn to payable this time

Currently showing 7% CB “Ends Tomorrow”. That being said, I doubt it’ll last that long judging from the usual 10% offers that always gets pulled early.

Those who were targeted with last week’s 7% app offer (https://www.doctorofcredit.com/ymmv-raise-get-7-off-all-giftcards-with-promo-code-raiseapp7/) will want to use that first as it’s still valid until tomorrow

Thanks, we are trying to wait until everybody (or most peoples) issues are sorted out from Raise/TCB first before posting anymore of these

My Raise order from March 27 has now been declined AGAIN after they have previously “resolved the issue”. It showed approved before and now it changed back to decline…

Topcashback can go f themselves. Who has the time or desire to track every purchase? Go to rakuten, mrrebates, or even iconsumer. Topcashback in the toilet.

“Hello Dheeraj,

Very sorry again for the ongoing issue with the declined cashback. I was made aware that Raise completes validation checks at the beginning of each month, where they check whether members are eligible for cashback (cancelled order, non commissionable items, etc.) If the network feels that you’re ineligible, they will decline/cancel the transaction. These payments were pushed to payable prior to the transaction being validated by Raise. However, we are investigating on your behalf and working to reverse it. Again, very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused as I want to make this the most pleasant experience it possibly can be for you.

Thank you”

Hello Dan,

We have already been in touch with Raise about this. I was made aware that Raise completes validation checks at the beginning of each month, where they check whether members are eligible for cashback (cancelled order, non-commissionable items, etc.) If the network feels that you’re ineligible, they will decline/cancel the transaction. These payments were pushed to payable prior to the transaction being validated by Raise. They went in and pushed it through before this validation check even occurred. We can assure you this is NOT our fault and are working really hard to make sure our members get what they deserve. We are investigating on your behalf and working to reverse it. Again, very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused as I want to make this the most pleasant experience it possibly can be for you and everyone else in the same position.

Thank you

“Update 5/1/20: Deal is back for today and tomorrow” – Actually only 5/1/20. I was going to buy something today 5/2, 10% is gone already. Frustrated!

All that they are doing is making sure most raise purchases post for a month or 2 and then it will probably go right back to it not paying again.

Hello Jack,

I can assure you that isn’t true. We worked very closely with Raise to fix the technical issues. If you run into any issues though, please do reach out to me directly to [email protected]

Thank you

My purchase from ~5 hours ago has posted already.
Also, I think the $5,000 limit is for purchases made through the TopCashBack portal. I added up my lifetime purchases and I am over $5,000, but most of those were made through ebate/rakuten.

I too had a bad experience with TCB. Filed a claim. There was a lot of back and forth. Gave them all the necessary documents and what not. What a waste time and energy. All excuses, no result. I was done and did a charge back. Got my money back. Absolute garbage.
