Topcashback: Get 10% Cash Back At Raise.com (& Statement From Topcashback)

Update, statement from TCB about Raise issues:

TopCashback has just received notice from the network that they are experiencing a tracking issue with Raise.com that they are actively working on resolving. For each member who has recently made a purchase on Raise.com and sees that their cashback has been declined, we’ve been alerted that this will be paid out, but with a delay. Please reach out to Dominique via email to promotions@topcashback.com so she can help to escalate this process. Please be prepared to email information about your purchase including a receipt to help make your experience as quick and efficient as possible. Thank you and we appreciate your patience.

Topcashback is currently offering 10%. Personally I think this should be pulled until these issues are resolved.

Update 3/30/20: Back again for today only at 15% cash back (we don’t usually see higher than 10%). Note, Raise doesn’t seem to track well so you might have to file a claim and hope for the best.

Update 3/27/20: Back again

Update 3/24/20: Back again and available until 3/24. I’m guessing Raise is desperate to move inventory at this stage.

Update 3/21/20: I’m seeing 4% now (11 pm ET), not sure when they lowered it.

Update 3/20/20: Deal is back for today and tomorrow (3/20-3/21). Hat tip to reader RM. Note again that Raise tracking people seem to complain about pretty often so you might need to file a ticket.

Update 3/13/20: Deal is back for today and tomorrow (3/13 & 3/14). Hat tip to GC Galore.

Update 2/28/20: Deal is back for today and tomorrow. Hat tip to GCGalore

Update 2/26/20: Seems to have expired early.

Update 2/25/20: Deal is back for today and tomorrow (2/25-2/26). Hat tip to FM

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Topcashback is offering 10% back on Raise.com gift card purchases. Offer is valid today and tomorrow, 2/13 – 2/14.

The Fine Print

  • Orders submitted over $1000 are not eligible for cash back.
  • If you list a gift card for sale on Raise.com you will not be eligible for cash back.
  • Orders submitted under $20 are not eligible for cash back.
  • After you have placed over $5,000 in lifetime purchases on Raise.com, you will no longer be eligible for cash back.

Our Verdict

This only works if you haven’t made $5,000 in lifetime purchases from Raise.com, including purchases not made through the Topcashback portal (more information in this post), so it won’t work for a lot of us. Otherwise, it’s a pretty sweet deal as it’s 10% on top of the existing discount on Raise.com.

I don’t see Raise Cash Back Gift Cards excluded in the fine print this time, but they usually are excluded, and I assume they will not earn cash back from Topcashback.

Some readers in the comments are having issues with this deal tracking. I’m unsure if it’s due to the portal limits or if Raise just doesn’t track well.

Hat tip to reader Christopher

Thanks! Grabbed a Walmart gift card.

Grab a Walmart gift card last time, no track at all. Don’t waste your time

Dominique

Hello There Max,

Very sorry you’ve had a negative experience. There’s usually good reason for purchases not tracking such as not clearing your cookies, having adblocker software installed, or not clicking through to the merchant directly from our site, etc. Please email me directly to promotions@topcashback.com so I may take a deeper look into your account for you.

Thank you

Don’t waste your time. I did normally when they have a promotion every time, but no track at all. And I have lodged three missing cashback and waited for 8-10 months, no cashback only waiting for the retailer. I don’t think they will give the cashback serval years later. so the promotion is a lie.

Dominique

Hello There,

I’m very sorry you’ve had issues with your purchases tracking. Please email me directly to promotions@topcashback.com and I will be glad to look into your account for you and see what I can do.

I never get Cashback for Raise from Topcashback. I always have to open a case for that. And recently I noticed when they run a promo like that the refuse paying Cashback at all for no good. The only explanation given is that the merchant denied the claim.
Stay away.

I agree! Keep away from Topcashback when they run a promo.

Dominique

Always get cashback from tcb at raise.com. Always tracked.

Dominique

Hello (Matthew),

Thank you so much for reaching out to us!

I am very sorry to hear that you’ve had untracked transactions.I am happy to assist you with this. The first thing you would need to in a case like this is submit a missing cashback claim for each of your purchases. You can submit a claim by clicking ‘Account’ on the top right hand side of your TopCashback homepage. Then click ‘Continue’ under where it says ‘Missing Cashback?’. You will then be taking through a series of steps so we have all the necessary information we need to help you.

Although we don’t have a quick fix for transactions not tracking, we do like to recommend some tops which may help you in the future. First, we always recommend to clear the cookies on your web browser before accessing the TopCashback website. It’s always better to start from scratch to avoid any error. This just helps your cookie to be placed correctly without any confusion.

Second, we like to encourage members to have only tabs open in your browser which relate to your purchase, which is another way to help the cookie be placed correctly and not get lost while making purchases.

Finally, it’s also a good idea to check your computer for any settings that may be blocking TopCashback from running properly for you. This could be settings on your web browser/security software on your computer. There are a ton of ad blockers that can stop transactions from tracking to your account.

I am sorry that we’re not able to resolve this issue for you right away, but at least you can be more aware now of how to maximize your TopCashback experience in the future!

I had that problem when I was using promo codes on Raise that weren’t also approved by TopCashback.

Dominique

Hello There,

Most of our merchants have terms and conditions listed under the deal, which many times include that a coupon/ and or promo cannot be combined with the purchase to receive cashback. In the future to ensure you always receive your cashback, we always encourage our members to carefully review the terms and conditions to avoid any confusion.

I hope this helps, and now that you know this information you can continue to shop our site and get the cashback you deserve!

🙂

Glad others are pointing this out as well! TCB tracks for nearly everything else but Raise. They do eventually pay out after you file a claim, nudge them, nudge them again, and ultimately have waited 6+ months. Given the number of folks who don’t bother following up, their blended payout rate is sub 1% I’m sure.

Fathiss
Fathiss

RJS, wrong on all points for many of us.

Dominique

Hello Cali,

First off, I’m very sorry to hear you’ve had a negative experience with TopCashback. I am here to assure you that if our site is used properly, you can 100% receive your cashback. When we run our promo’s, our members must ensure they’re clicking directly through the unique link that takes them to the merchant through TopCashback. There are a couple of reasons a merchant would deny a cashback claim. One of the reasons being the transaction didn’t track through TopCashback. It is always worth clearing your cookies on your browser and also making sure that there are no ad blockers enabled on your computer that would prevent transactions from tracking. Another reason a merchant might deny a claim would be that a member went against their specific terms and conditions which will always be outlined in the deal. An example of this would be combining a coupon with a purchase. If you provide me with an email I can send you an explanation on how to maximize your TopCashback experience so you can start taking advantage of all our deals and also receiving cashback for your purchases.

I cannot recommend Topcashback. I am still waiting on a cashback from late October last year. Rakuten/Ebates is a lot more reliable.

Same, but early November. TCB is way too hit or miss for me. I’ll gladly accept slightly lower cashback to actually get paid.

Is there a way to get around the 5000 lifetime limit?

@Chase-ing UR points
@Chase-ing UR points

For those with a BeFrugal account/ those who have trouble with TCB, you should be able to get 12.5% with their 125% best rate guarantee. (https://www.befrugal.com/help/termsandconditions/#cashbackguarantee ). Worth mentioning though is that they only payout if you’ve made less than $1,000 of lifetime purchases on Raise and they exclude Target, Walmart, Home Depot, & Lowe’s.

How long does it usually take for cashback to post?

It can take a month or two.

In my experience, I’ve checked it the next day or so and it’s there. When it wasn’t, I usually waited the full 30 days and filed a claim, but I haven’t had to do that in over a year now.

Dominique

Hello there,

I can confirm that some transactions can take up to 7 days before appearing as pending on your earnings tracker.

If your particular purchase hasn’t tracked by 7 days please send an email to promotions@topcashback.com, and we can help further.

I do hope this has been helpful, and if there’s anything else we can do, please don’t hesitate to get back in touch.

Thank you

Bought two walmart gift cards. Doesn’t show as pending on topcashback.

Disappointed that they ended it early. I’m not even sure now whether the offer was still active when I clicked through or by the time it tracks.

Has not tracked the last two times, including the deal on the 2/13-2/14. Hard pass.

Didn’t post for me last few times and customer service didn’t help at all. Not going to do Raise on topcashback anymore.

I bought a Dominos GC on Raise this morning 2/25. Got the “tracked” email from TCB about an hour later.

Did a $300 purchase last time mostly paying near face value for GCs and it didn’t track. Now I’m stuck using all these annoying gift cards for under 1% off their face value since it didn’t track.

All the negative comments you get from your TCB posts yet you continue without warning your readers. We (the readers) have to warn them in the comments section.
You claim Rakuten is worse from your experience in a response from a comment I left in the past but how many readers confirm this? You don’t get the negative feedback on the Rakuten posts.
I’ve always held this site in high esteem. Above all the unethical bloggers out there. But this TCB thing you got going undermines your credibility. I’m not saying you’re getting any kickbacks from TCB, but your judgement (or stubbornness), still detracts from your credibility on this one.
At least warn your readers of all the bad reader TCB press. It is definitely skewed against TCB compared to any other CB site.
I hope Patrick from TCB is reading all this bad press. He is delusional about how helpful his csrs are.

Have to agree here…usually DoC seems unbiased

sybloc

Never had a problem with TCB, including the occasional one-day $5 bonus when spending $15 (and I always use Raise). Swagbucks on the other hand…total scam.

Fathiss
Fathiss

Yes, of course there are some positive experiences. But people with negative experiences are less likely to comment here for fear of upsetting DOC and his followers. But even so, I think the positive and negative are even.
So my question is: would you buy an item from eBay from a seller with a 50% approval rating? We don’t even buy from sellers with a 90% rating!

HarryTheFirstHarry
HarryTheFirstHarry

That 50% rating for TCB that is what you are making up based on your bad experience. If you really wanted a rating for TCB you should look at independent sites that do it like CBMonitor. Doc is neither rating TCB nor asking people to use it. They are just posting the deals as they are available. If you are consistently getting bad tracking on TCB, you should check/change your browsers/AV/other software or just move to another CB portal. I have got generally good results on TCB myself though not 100%. I would not do a deal just for the CB alone. For me eBates and SAH have given poorer tracking in the past and I have moved away from them to TCB and RMN.

Dan
Dan

I’ll chime in too and say that I’ve never had an issue with TopCashBack….

BUT_WHY_MALE_M0DELS
BUT_WHY_MALE_M0DELS

Agreed. Ebates customer service is great. If I ever have an issue, they immediately credit my account. TCB is always a struggle. Still waiting on that november microsoft pickup promo to be credited. I only use TCB if it is a substantially higher return then ebates, like 1:4+. Its just not worth the headache and delay.
