The Offer
- Topcashback is offering $4 cashback when using filing your tax return with Credit Karma’s free filing service.
Our Verdict
We reviewed Credit Karma’s free tax filing offering in this dedicated post, you can read the comments there for people’s thoughts on their service. Easy $4 if you’d like to use them anyway.
Last year, the deal was valid through April 15th, so it’s likely to be the same this time around.
Hat tip to Superman
So unlucky as I just filed my tax literally yesterday because of Sofi bonus

MyPoints also offered 400 points but obviously inferior offer compared to SB

Missed the deal because I thought I was going to owe a lot this year so when the Federal deadline was extended I waited a couple of weeks. Finally got around to filing today and ended up getting refunds from both Federal and State. Quite a surprise. I even ran the numbers through FreeTaxUSA just to confirm.
Mine shows Credit Karma in the earnings section, but then “$0” pending. Did this actually work for anybody who filed?
It might take a few days or weeks for the money to actually show up.
No did both offers on TCB and SB for P2 and didnt get credited for either. I think it was partially my own fault for starting the taxes then taking a couple weeks to finish before filing so that is probably why it didn’t credit, you probably had to file that session?
I have to file in 2 different states and of course the federal form. Is there an upcharge for the 2nd state filing?
nope
Any way to get this without actually submitting the tax filing?
Perfect timing. Was going to use Credit Karma anyway. Free money is always welcome
Is this only for new Credit Karma users or are existing users who filed with Credit Karma last year still eligible? I didn’t see any details in the Offer description.
Cash back to file your taxes for free? How much are they getting for this data…?
They don’t sell your tax data but they do use it for their recommendation engine. Which they use to indirectly profit.
Darn I literally just filed with them last night
