U.S. Bank has launched new credit cards for BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad. U.S. Bank was already the issuer for these cards and last updated them in 2020. Card basics as follows:
- 10,000 point sign up bonus after $500 in spend within 90 days of account opening
- 0% introductory APR for 12 billing cycles
- No annual fee
- Card earns at the following rates:
- 3X per $1 spent on BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad purchases and eligible gas station, EV charging station purchases and on tollway charges
- 1x points on all other purchase
- Accelerated 2X points value for redemption at BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad dealerships (1:1 for all other purchases).
- BMW Card Extend Pay always-on offer of 6 months with no fees or interest for BMW purchases for eligible cardholders.
Our Verdict
Points are basically worth 2¢ when redeeming for loans/leases with BMW, MINI or BMW Motorrad or 1¢ towards other purchases. That means those 3x point purchases are worth up to 6¢ per $1 spent so there is some limited use here. Given the low sign up bonus and other utility though I don’t think this is worth considering for the vast majority of people. We will add this to the list of new credit cards for 2026.
