Uber Eats has launched a promotion for March Madness, they will be offering a different deal or potential deal for each round. They are as follows:
- Round one: If #16 seed beats #1 seed 200,000 fans will get $20 off their next order
- Round two: If a team loses by 20 points or more then fans in the city of the losing team will get $5 off their next order
- Round 3: Everybody gets 16% off their next order on March 28th
- Round 4: If a team wins with a buzzer beater during the elite 8 then the hometown of that team will get free delivery on orders placed before 10:30am the morning after the game
- Round 5:Â If a team loses their hometown will get free delivery the following day
- Round 6: Randy predicted that the NCAA Men’s champ will win by 21 points, for every point he’s off by you get a percentage point off your order
Most of the offers are complete junk, but round 3 and round 6 should be somewhat useful. Round 1 will be useful but chances of it happening are extremely low (yes I know it happened last year). As always you can find UberEats promo codes by clicking here.
Hat tip to MtM
How do we sign-up for the promo? Maybe it was mentioned here and I just glossed over it.
The Round 3 offer says the discount is up to 16%. I assume that means it will vary by business or order amount.
Just do a MADNESS no service charge code. These plat credits are pretty much worthless to me since I only use them on eats.
“Promotion has expired”
Rooting for a 121 point rout…
Have to vent: Amex credits have disappeared from Uber app. I only found out when my credit card was charged for the Eats order. Exchanged messages with 5 CSRs and not one even comprehends the question, let alone helping.
Frustrated with Uber’s lack of competent customer service.
I got rid of an Amex Plat recently due to problems with Uber. Now that UberEats has upped their pricing, I’m even more happy with that decision.
Can relate to this. I dealt with a similar issue in the past by repeatedly sending them ‘No, fix it’ every time they responded with a generic response.
After a dozen times, I got a message from a supervisor saying they were looking into the issue and gave me $30 in Uber cash for it.
Absolute garbage company.
I sometimes take an Uber home from work since we get a certain amount towards transportation each month. The catch? Must use Uberpool.
After one too many aggressive matches that resulted in my commute time literally doubling, I got increasingly fed up. The final straw came about 3 weeks ago when I was 10 minutes late beyond Uber’s “not later than” worst case estimate. Opened a ticket with support, only to be read a script about “blah blah constantly improving algorithm blah blah”. Point blank asked for a partial refund and was denied by 3 separate CSRs. Gave Uber the finger, switched to Lyft and haven’t looked back.
The Lyft experience has been much better for two reasons:
1. The matching algorithm for carpools actually make sense most of the time. The pickups and dropoffs are very much along the way, and my trips are only delayed by 5-10 minutes.
2. That one time my commute time doubled because the matching algorithm faceplanted, Lyft support responded to my ticket literally within minutes, offered me a full refund (I only asked for “partial credit”), and was profusely apologetic. Now that is what I call good CS.
Even though Lyft is about 10-20% more expensive for the same trip in my area, I will continue to use Lyft since the experience is just SO much better.
Lyft is also committed to a net carbon free fleet
for the love of god uva, win your first game
