No direct link, discounted fares are showing up on the United site for United cardholders and elites today. Will show for everybody tomorrow.
- United is offering a 20% discount on all award flights booked to hawaii. Must be booked by 3/14/18 11:59pm CST. Travel is for 4/9/18 until 5/20/18. Normally these flights price at 45,000 miles round trip. Discounted round trip price will be 36,000 miles. If only one of your flights is within the eligible travel period the discounted rate will be 40,500 miles.
The Fine Print
- Must book a round trip ticket
- Valid for travel on all days during the week, no blackout date
- United and United Express flights only
- Economy only
- No stop overs
Our Verdict
They offered the same deal in November as well. There are cheaper options out there (e.g using Singapore KrisFlyer miles would cost 35,000 miles round trip, Korean is 30,000 miles round trip on Hawaiian & 25,000 on Delta).

OMG I already booked a flight for 45k within that time and I see now it’s availble for 36k 🙁 ….Is there any option available for me now? I am just general member.
Agent was able to cancel the previous reservation and wavied the cancellation fee – miles came back real time and booked the same flight again with 9k less miles 🙂 thanks Doc!
