Today United has announced that United Club membership will be increasing from $550 to $640 on August 13th. It will also be possible to purchase a membership for 85,000 miles (previously 70,000 miles). It’s possible to get United Club membership with the Chase United Club card and that card comes with an annual fee of $450, although not everybody will be eligible for that card due to the Chase 5/24 rule.
A lot of Club memberships are purchased by companies for workers, so I imagine they will continue to be happy to pay this increased fee. At this stage it’s also not clear if discounts will be offered to elites, currently Premier 1K members only pay $450 or 60,000 miles for example.

I have never seen such a credit miracle been done on my report until recently when i got introduced to Peter about repairing my credit He got everything done for me within 1 week. He raised my credit score above 800’s respectively across my three Credit Bureaus and erasing the past Eviction on my credit report too. He is an upright man and very reliable indeed. For contact info, mail him at [email protected]
The United Club is overpriced at the former rate. At $650 you could start buying Uber Eats drivers boarding passes to deliver post security.
FYI It was not announced today. It was not announced at all! LOL https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/united-airlines-mileageplus/1974468-united-club-membership-now-650-effective-8-13-19-a.html
Someone must be crazy enough to purchase this.
They are also restricting access to only those with a United (or Star Alliance) boarding pass starting in November. Not sure why any individual or company would buy a membership when they can get the credit card and save $200/yr…
honestly, for that amount of money, you could get better food outside the club.
You’re assuming that the United Club card will remain at $450.
My spouse picked up the card last month for first year annual fee free (we are flush with miles). Been an okay experience so far. It gets busy sometimes and there’s no place to sit but it works great when flights are delayed.
Thats a No for me dawg.
Diggity dawg.
Schwiggity diggity dawg.
This guy gets it.
