This is actually a really good deal if you’re a Swagbucks user (Prodege owns Upromise & Swagbucks) as Swagbucks always has different Swago Boards each month (they have 2 a month normally) to get anywhere from 1000SB-2500SB for completing different tasks and the main task is always to buy a MyGiftCardPlus card. So you could make an extra $10-$25/mo on Swagbucks by using the card to purchase gift cards. $200 card bonus for $500 spend + $250/year MyGiftCardPlus bonus on Upromise for purchasing from MyGiftCardPlus + $120-$300/year on Swagbucks from finishing the Swago boards each month.

I applied and was denied on 12/30/22. Today I received a letter from Barclays thanking me for my new online savings account that was opened with $1. I assume this is some sort of mistake but will give them a call next week.

Instantly approved with the $200 back on $500 spend link (40% return). Low max credit limit. Who cares. LOL. This will be easy. Thanks for the $200 back link!!

I’m curious…. This is the first credit card application that I’ve personally looked at that under annual income doesn’t say to list income that you have reasonable access to.. e.g family member or partner. I normally use my partner’s income (unmarried)included with mine to put a higher amount. Does that mean for this application it wouldn’t be a good idea to include my partner’s income? Or any trouble that could come from it?

With the $200 bonus for $500 spend in 3 months, plus the $10/$20 back each month from MyGiftCardsPlus.com, I decided to bite. Based on my purchase history with MyGiftCardsPlus.com benefit I figure this will save me about $130/year. Was instantly approved with $15k credit limit. FICO 8 of 787 and FICO 9 of 791. Was at 4/24 before the app with 9 open cards and my newest card about 3 months old. Verified my email for the $5.29 bonus and linked a 529 account for the $25 bonus.

Can i cash out and get statement credit or does it have to go into a 529 plan?
I got my statement and its saying it takes 4-6 weeks to get the credit to post to my cc account

There is an option to transfer to checking account once a month but it has to be over a certain amount. There is an option to get $25 for signing up for a 529 plan.
The website is run by prodege so you can make extra money doing dumb stuff

I assume if you sign up for a 529 and have a linked checking account, they will divide the payout into both accounts

If this is through the UPromise website, you can add a 529 plan to get the $25, but then disable it as a payout option (so all the money is paid to your checking).

How do you disable it?

When I go into my UPromise profile page, I see my two Linked Accounts (one bank and one 529), and a link to Manage each of them. When I click that link, the resulting form has a button at the bottom marked “Inactivate Account.”

Not sure if you will have the option to “Inactivate” an account if you don’t have at least two linked.
