Venmo To Make Changes To Venmo Stash Loyalty Program

Update 8/12/26:

  • 1% base rate: Earned automatically once you’re enrolled (1% for first $250 spent = $2.50 cash back)
  • 2% tier: Unlocked once your monthly spend reaches $250 (2% for next $1,250 spent = $25.00 cash back)
  • 5% tier: Unlocked once your monthly spend reaches $1,500 (5% lasts for another $1450 of spend = $72.50)

Works out to be roughly 3.4% cashback if you spend $1,500+.

Original post: Venmo has sent out an e-mail to users informing them of changes to the Venmo Stash loyalty program on 8/24/26:

We are updating the Venmo Stash provision in the following ways:

    • We are updating how the Venmo Stash program operates. You will no longer need to select a merchant bundle in the Bundle cash back program, and you will be able to earn cash back from more Stash brands.
    • We are changing the ways you can earn cash back with Venmo Stash. Earn 2 percent cash back when you spend $250 in a month on qualifying purchases with Venmo check out or your Venmo Debit Card. Earn 5 percent cash back when you spend $1,500 in a month on qualifying purchases with Venmo check out or your Venmo Debit Card.
    • You will continue to be able to earn a maximum of $100 per month in cash back rewards.

Previously you could choose one bundle and the rate you earned at was as follows

  • Choose from different bundles to earn up to 5% cash back in (e.g one bundle is McDonald’s, TikTok, Uber & UberEats)
    • 1% cash back as base rate
    • 2% if they turn on auto reloads
    • 5% if they receive a direct deposit
