Venmo Will Be Accepted At Over 2 Million Retailers

PayPal has announced that two million U.S. retailers will accept payments through mobile app Venmo. It seems that Venmo will be accepted on the mobile sites of almost all merchants that accept PayPal. The reason that this might matter is because traditionally Venmo has coded as 3x on the Chase Ink Preferred. It’s not clear if this will continue to be the case for these new transactions. Merchants will be the ones footing the bill for accepting Venmo (much like they do traditionally with credit cards).
