Yesterday we posted about Walmart offering discounted gift cards (including American Express. These were out of stock when we posted). If you purchased one of these you should have received a cancellation e-mail from Walmart. They apologize for the error and blame it on a pricing error.
As an apology they will be sending a separate e-mail with a $10 electronic gift card (1 per customer) in the next five business days. Not a bad outcome if you just purchased one of the third party gift cards, not so good if you were able to get an American Express gift card order in.
Also just a quick reminder to sign up for instant alerts on hot deals if you haven’t already. If we found this deal when the American Express gift cards were still live we would have definitely sent out an alert.
