The Offer
- WiseBanyan is currently offering you $20 when you use somebodies referral link, the person’s link who you use will also receive a $20 bonus.
What Is WiseBanyan?
WiseBanyan is a roboadvisor service, when you sign up it’ll ask you a number of questions to gauge your risk tolerance and then recommend an asset allocation and risk score. It seems to be similar to Betterment or Acorns but without the fees. It seems like they are planning on making money by offering a customized management solution with a fee of 0.5%-1%. They have received venture capital funding, but of an undisclosed amount.
The Fine Print
- In order for the new client and the referring WiseBanyan client to receive the new account opening bonus, the new client must maintain a WiseBanyan account for at least 6 months.
- There is no minimum account balance maintenance requirement.
- If the new client closes their WiseBanyan account before 6 months, WiseBanyan will initiate the withdraw of the account opening bonus from both the new client’s WiseBanyan account and the referring client’s WiseBanyan account.
- WiseBanyan may amend the terms and conditions of this offer, and/or terminate this offer, at anytime in its sole discretion without notice.

Our Verdict
I don’t think $20 should factor into your investment decisions, if you have time to burn then you could sign up just for the $20 bonus but that seems like a lot of work given you need to wait six months as well. Feel free to share your thoughts about WiseBanyan in the comments below.
