Our Verdict

It looks like some locations have a minimum order required and others don’t, so if it doesn’t work for that location that’s probably why.

Dickey’s isn’t bad BBQ but certainly no where near the greatest. Then again, it’s hard to make really “bad” BBQ. I’ll take bad BBQ over tofu any day.

So do people, in which case six feet of social distancing really isn’t enough.

The point of the article (if you read it) is that a lower demand for beef would correlate with far less deforestation required for cattle grazing.

True, but the gas makes social distancing much easier.

I’m a vegetarian for past 2 years, and I cannot believe I used to eat carcasses. It’s more shocking when you realize that you do not have to at all. It’s like smoking cigarettes — totally unnecessary and bad for absolutely everyone.

All my patient who are vegetarians for more than 2-3 years show up with abnormal labs. Just FYI.

You can’t believe it? Most people eat on earth eat carcasses, some Asian cultures even eat live animals.

We don’t absorb B12 created by the bacteria in our colon unlike herbivorous animals, so we have needed to eat animals or animal products for our entire 200K year existence. Cultivating animals products (milk/eggs) is a fairly recent phenomenon, so eating carcasses has been the norm to keep humans healthy and avoiding nerve damage caused by B12 deficiency.

Here comes the racist deflection.

But but I can’t be racist, I have an asian gf/1 black friend/neighbor who invites me to his bbq.

Notice how there was zero talk about races but the guy brings it up as a deflection point to shift blame to someone else. Pretty interesting cognitive dissonance from a culture based on blaming people of color / western hegemony.

There are supplements, vitamins and food replacements for what you are talking about. Just because our ancestors were doing it does not mean we should keep doing it. If I am forced to eat meat, I will. But in this day and age, I fortunately do not have to.

Oook. That article is specifically about beef. Pork has much lower impacts than beef, and chicken is much much lower, barely higher than plants.

Interesting article. There was also a good video that covered the topic if eating less meat would benefit the environment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ek6CgOjwLo

Yeah those obligate carnivores like cats are voltures are terrible!
Without rumminants the Earth’s soil would be depleted of carbon, their crap is needed to make crops grow in much of the world.
