[Expired] [YMMV] $5-$15 For Loading A Check To Netspend

Deal has expired, view more Netspend deals by clicking here.

The Offer

  • Load a check of $50 or more to your Netspend account with the promotional code Bonus15 and receive a $15 bonus
  • You can also use Bonus10 and Bonus5 to receive a $10 and $5 bonus, people have had success in using all three and getting all three bonuses in the past.

The Fine Print

  • Valid until December 31st, 2018

Our Verdict

The general rule is that if it accepts the promotional code, you’ll receive the bonus even if you didn’t receive the targeted e-mail. Usually if you’ve used a specific code in the past as well you won’t be eligible. That being said, I don’t think we’ve seen this bonus since 2016 so it’s entirely likely that the process has changed. A lot of people will have shut down their netspend accounts as well due to the $1,000 limit in place to earn 5% now.

 William Charles if interested

Received a similar offer again for the Brinks version of the Netspend Card

“Add a qualifying deposit of $100 or more to your Card by 6/30/2020 through the following ways and we will credit $10 back to your Card Account!”

“Offer valid from 6/1/2020 at 12:01 AM through 6/30/2020 at 11:59 PM. You are eligible for this offer if you are a current Brink’s Prepaid Cardholder and the named recipient of this targeted offer. To redeem this offer, you must load $100 or more using your Brink’s Money Prepaid Mastercard® no later than 6/30/2020 via one of the following methods: cash, Mobile Check Load and Direct Deposit of paychecks or government benefits. Offer excludes loads via PayPal, money transfers, person-to-person transfers, and tax refund deposits. The promotional incentive value of $10.00 will be credited to your Card Account within 5 business days of fulfilling all offer requirements. Limit of one (1) offer per Card Account. Offer may not be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash. Offer void where prohibited. Republic Bank & Trust Company and Mastercard are not affiliated in any way with this offer and do not endorse or sponsor this optional offer. ”

Might be able to trigger with the same ACH currently using to keep card free fee, alive, and pull money off of it from the 5% Savings account.

Nobody has been the DP they wish to see and attempted this with multiple Netspend accounts? I successfully did this writing a check to myself on account 1 10 days ago, doing it again in a couple days with account 2 and seeing if it takes the promo successfully

I’ve used the Bonus15 previously. I used the Bonus10 this time and it worked. I also tried the Bonus5 on another check but it said the code was invalid.

Despite being limited to 1k I still think its good to have the card.

Does anybody know if it has to be a check or if a MO would work? If so… that would get around the writing a check to yourself issue. I don’t have a Netspend account or I would be the dp… John 3:16

Will, might not be a bad idea to add a link to the original Netspend post. Newbies may not be familiar with it…just a thought… John 3:16

I would’ve guessed not, but the Ingo FAQ says they do! But I do not know if this would qualify for the bonus promo. https://www.ingomoney.com/faq/

“You can submit most check types for funding approval in the Ingo Money App, from $5 up to $5,000. This includes payroll and government checks with a pre-printed signature, business checks, two-party personal checks, handwritten payroll checks, insurance checks, attorney checks, cashier’s checks, money orders, rebate checks and refund anticipation checks. All checks must be made out to you, endorsed by you and drawn on a bank account in the United States or a U.S. territory.

Please note that we generally don’t accept checks that aren’t made out to you, conditional endorsement checks, counter checks, credit card checks, customer appreciation certificates, gift certificates, starter checks, traveler’s checks or warrants.”

Promo code was accepted but then during the check review I was rejected because it said I was writing a check to myself (which they don’t accept). What are others doing to bypass this? I don’t typically transact with checks so I don’t have legitimate deposits worth $50 just lying around.

Do you have a friend or family member who you can exchange checks with?

I tried this a while ago but Ingo Money said they couldn’t verify my identity (even though Netspend had already verified me). I sent them a message but they didn’t even have a way to look at my driver license, etc. So it was just a waste of time.
