A few weeks ago, a reader mentioned getting $5 Kohl’s Cash when doing an Amazon return at Kohl’s and I recently just experienced the same. So it seems to be a system-wide thing where they’ll get that with a return. YMMV.
Small little incentive to use Kohl’s over another Amazon return option. I’ve never used Kohl’s Cash before, but I believe you can buy an item which costs less than $5 and get the item for free. Hit us up with any ideas in the comments below.
DP now receiving 15% off instead of $5 just started happening this month.
Been utilizing this for well over a year ($150+ in free legos!), just tried today (Sunday) and got a 15% discount instead of $5 kohls cash. Used to be Sat-Mon $5 kohls cash and a discount the rest of the week, so this may have now changed.
Like others have mentioned, this has been going on for a while. One trick we found, it seems to have worked out to one $5 coupon per day. We used to be able to do one return in the morning, then other later in the day and get 2 $5 , but they seem to have changed the system a while ago to just one $5 per day. Otherwise, you just get a 25% off coupon.
One thing they do not tell you is that you can use more than one of these at a time. Since they expire in a week, just save up your returns until you have 5, then go in once a day . By the last day, you will have $35 in kohls cash. My spouse uses this trick to get discounted lego sets, since that is one thing they sell that is like a “cash equivalent” to us lol. I will add the caveat that we live about 2 minutes from a Kohls, so this may not work for everyone. So far, none of the cashiers have complained when we do the 5 coupon redemptions, they just scan them and send us on our merry way!
You could also add the kohls cash to your kohls app wallet and the cashier can’t tell if it was from an Amazon return or you earned it by spending 😉

This has been going on for quite some time, since Kohl’s and Amazon have started this partnership.
BUT it’s not always $5 that you’d get. Sometimes it’s nothing, other times you may get 10-25% off an item/total purchase, and yes the $5 off.
You don’t even need to use up the full $5. The balance remains until the expiration date.
Keep in mind, your mailing address must be within 8 miles of a Kohl’s to have the option to select “Kohl’s Dropoff” as your return option (you cannot just show up at Kohl’s with Amazon items to return them).

The Kohls Cash from an Amazon return has to be used in store only and expires in a week. If you buy something with it and return it, you’ll then get Kohls Cash that you can use in store and online and is good for a month. Then you do the GPS Emulator trick and buy whatever you want with free shipping.

The Kohls by me always had Godiva chocolate bars up near the register. I get the dark chocolate. You should be able to get 2 little bars using one $5 coupon. -and good for the heart, too.
In my experience, if you return multiple Amazon items at once, you get just a single coupon.
If you return one item, then remember an additional item when you get back to your car and go back in, you get two coupons.
Yes when it first started they gave a coupon for each return then quickly changed it to one coupon per visit. I believe the coupon expires the same day.
