Direct link to offer (if it says This offer is no longer available then you’re not eligible)

  • American Express is offering 50,000 Membership Rewards points after $5,000 in spend within the first 3 months of Card membership.

Card Details

  • $295 annual fee, not waived first year
  • Card earns 4x points on the two categories your business spends the most each billing cycle, from the following list (up to $150,000 in combined purchases each calendar year):
    • U.S. purchases at restaurants
    • Airfare purchased directly from airlines
    • U.S. purchases for advertising in select media
    • U.S. purchases at gas stations
    • U.S. purchases for shipping
    • U.S. computer hardware, software, and cloud computing purchases made directly from select providers
  • 25% points back after you book a flight with pay with points
  • If your application is not received by 12/31/2020, we will not process your application even if we later receive your application. American Express reserves the right to modify or revoke offer at any time

Our Verdict

If you haven’t had this card before then it’s better to wait for a bigger bonus as it can be as high as 75,000 points. This offer is interesting as it doesn’t contain the lifetime language meaning you can get the bonus if you have had it before.   As always you can read more about American Express cards here.

Is it possible to use this offer to get a second business gold card?

I already have a business gold card, which I received a bonus for a couple of years ago. The link above works for me after logging in, saying that I’m eligible for a 50k bonus.

Any reason why I couldn’t have two gold cards? Would hate to apply and be denied the bonus.

William Charles The terms shows an expiration date for this offer.
“If your application is not received by 12/31/2020, we will not process your application even if we later receive your application. American Express reserves the right to modify or revoke offer at any time.”

DP: P3 currently holds a Biz Gold (since 11/2019). Using the direct link in this post, saw the offer after logging in and was instantly approved.

Was going to do this offer. Provided my login info. Offer not available for me. Amex’s loss. Ever since the PLAN-demic started, I find their attitude toward customer service & credit approvals “less than friendly.”

Does anyone know if this card considered as a new product or not?
I had an old card in 2018 and closed it somewhere in 2019.

Business Gold is considered a new product from BGR, but the terms explicitly include BGR as one of the factors making you ineligible for the welcome bonus.

Once I signed in it said, “This offer is no longer available.”
Bummer.

I value MR more highly than most — I use 2 cents bc I tend to be able to get at least that much value when transferring to partners (e.g., ANA). So, for me this $1000 in value for the $295 fee. Seems worthwhile, even though the card itself is terrible. I’m also working on getting under 5/24, and so this seems like a good way to get some bonus points while I’m trying to generally not be opening anything that shows up for Chase purposes. Does that make sense? Am I missing anything? Thanks!

So if I currently have this card and got a bonus for it can I apply for it again and get another bonus?

The $295 annual fee Kills the deal as apart from the 50k MR bonus, there is no other incentive like Airline or hotel credits etc.
