Placed an order yesterday for pickup today, and it was just cancelled
Mine was cancelled only because they didnt have one item in stock. Theres no way to do a partial refund so they just cancel the entire order. Maybe thats what happened to you too.

When these short term evening/night codes come around, keep in mind that there is a box that you can uncheck that will make it show all available restaurants rather than just the ones that are “Open” My city has dozens of available Grubhub restaurants for pickup, but at night it is only around 3. So when ordering ahead for Daytime, go ahead and uncheck “Open” or “Open Now”. I’ve ordered ahead from a restaurant on more than one occasion then realized I had other choices I would have preferred.
I also recommend calling ahead when you get the order confirmation on the morning of your order. I’ve seen restaurants make the order when received rather than when scheduled on more than 1 occasion.*** In fact this is such a bad tendency, I prefer to place my order within 15-30 minutes of restaurant opening just to be sure they don’t make it too far in advance.
***A local pizza place made this mistake the other day and tried to say a 3 hour old pizza was still good!
Yea i was the recipient of some stale pasta last time this deal was around. Also what i noticed is grubhub’s menu item interface is pretty generic. It seems If the establishment doesnt provide all the necessary options, theres no way to get exactly what you want. Ordered a tuna sub and was expecting it to come with lettuce, tomato etc. Nope, just tuna on a roll.
